The Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq (Arabic: مجلس القضاء الأعلى العراقي) is the supreme administrative authority responsible for the affairs of the judiciary in Iraq. It is headed by Chief Justice Dr. Faiq Zaydan.

Composition

The Supreme Judicial Council comprises:

  • President of the Court of Cassation
  • Vice-Presidents of the Court of Cassation
  • Chief Prosecutor
  • President of the Judicial Supervisory Authority
  • Presidents of the Courts of Appeal

The Council was established under Article 87 of the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq in force.
