Sir (William) Nicolas Henry Reardon-Smith, 5th Baronet (born 10 June 1963), is a British baronet and shipbroker.
Early life
The eldest son of Sir Antony Reardon-Smith, 4th Baronet (1937–2022), and Susan née Gibson, he was educated at Milton Abbey School and Strode's College.
Upon his father's death in 2022, he succeeded to the family baronetcy.
Career
In 1982 Reardon-Smith embarked on his shipping career with Maersk Tankers, before joining Stolt-Nielsen as a chartering manager in 1992. After assuming ownership of the family firm, Reardon Smith Line, becoming managing director in 2001, he also serves as managing director of d'Amico Shipping UK Ltd and d'Amico Tankers UK Ltd since 2002.
Sir Nicolas is a Freeman of the City of London and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights.
Personal life
Married in 2001 to Julia Slade, elder daughter of Dr Martin Slade, the heir presumptive to the family baronetcy is his younger brother, Giles Reardon-Smith.
Sir Nicolas and Lady Reardon-Smith divide their time between homes in London and West Horsley, Surrey.
