The Guardians of the Galaxy are a fictional superhero team appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.

1969 team

The 1969 version of the Guardians of the Galaxy were the original 31st-century team from an alternate timeline

2008 team

The 2008 version of the Guardians of the Galaxy is the modern version of the team formed in the aftermath of Annihilation: Conquest.

New Guard

The New Guard version of the Guardians of the Galaxy consisted of Kitty Pryde, Thing, Drax, Venom, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, and later Star-Lord and Gamora

Ultimate Universe

During the "Ultimate Invasion" storyline, Maker traveled to Earth-6160 and remade it into his own image. A 61st Century version of the Guardians of the Galaxy is introduced, consisting of Captain Marvel, Star-Lord, Ultimate Nullifier, and Cosmo Starstalker as well as versions of Starhawk, Yondu, Charlie-27, Aleta Ogord, Martinex, an unidentified Captain Universe, Star Brand, Giraud the Phoenix, Molecule Boy, Gladiator, Major Victory, Fang, Hobgoblin, Magique, Manta, Starbolt, Titan, Gary: Wielder of the Infinity Gauntlet, and other unidentified members. America Chavez was said to have been a member until she was rendered amnesiac due to being displaced in the time period where she was enslaved by Midas. The 61st Century was an almost utopian future in which about 250.000. Guardians protected millions of worlds, integrating the Shi'ar Imperial Guard to their ranks and ending threats such as the Ultron Dominion and the Celestials, being active for millennia until a temporal crisis is detected by Captain Universe. As Starhawk, Yondu, Charlie-27, Aletra Ogord, and Martinex are dispatched to investigate in the past, only Martinex returns where he warned them of Maker's tampering with reality (calling him "The Unmaker") before shattering. Though they try to preserve their time period and escape outside of time, they are led to fight Kang's clone army while some of their strongest members try to maintained the integrity of their ship. Despite this, the ship is destroyed, displacing the survivors across time. Though Captain Marvel is unable to convince America to join them in finding the others since she any memories of being part of the team have been "amputated" as confirmed by Cosmo Starstalker's mind-reading abilities, she gives her a temporal flare should she need them as the Guardians of the Galaxy leave to look for more of their time-displaced members.
