Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune is a deemed-to-be university located in Pimpri, Pune, Maharashtra, India. It was established on January 11, 2003, under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, through a notification from the Government of India. The university offers a wide range of programs across multiple disciplines and is known for its emphasis on education, research, and healthcare.

History

Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth was established to promote higher education in diverse fields, particularly in health sciences and technical disciplines. Over the years, it has expanded to include a variety of academic units and has gained recognition for its infrastructure and academic offerings.

The Vidyapeeth consists of 15 constituent institutions that offer undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. The disciplines include:

The Vidyapeeth oversees five hospitals—Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, and Physiotherapy.
