Futanari (meaning "two half" or "new half" in Japanese) is a special type of 18-kin (commonly known in the West as hentai), depicting hermaphrodites or females with male sex organs.

It is argued that this may branched from yuri or yaoi as depictions are quite similar to those two and not of regular hentai. Others say it is a slightly more mundane branch of 'youkai hentai', which sometimes features mythological creatures or figures.

The subjects of futanari are more commonly known as "dickgirls" or "shemales", although this is considered vulgar in some anime or manga fandom Otaku circles. Interestingly, many male fans of futanari do not consider it to be a fetish related to homosexuality..
