DRN Case
Hi Materialscientist, just wanted to ask if you will be participating (at this time) in the Health care in the US DRN case? You can opt in and out at any time, as participation is voluntary, but be aware that discussion may stall if you do opt out which will cause the case to be closed. Cheers, Drcrazy102 (talk) 04:10, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
- No. I have no slightest interest in this topic, and don't know why I'm being invited there so vigorously. I do revert vandalism/spam/COI/etc. and fix references on a wide range of articles; this does not make me an active contributor there. My actual topical interest (in terms of article creation/expansion) is much narrower. Materialscientist (talk) 04:39, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
- Apologies for any annoyance, but you were listed as an "involved editor" in the dispute case filing; hence the questions. With no replies, we asked again. Again, apologies, and I will remove you from the listings if you are agreeable to that? Cheers, Drcrazy102 (talk) 05:02, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
HBCU reverts
The content removal on the conference pages along with the two schools and the Florida Classic has been going on for a week most likely by the same person using various IP's. It started with User talk:98.254.46.182, which is currently blocked. I've just been doing a blanket revert of all edits each time and don't know how a complete block of this person can be done. Maybe the first half of the addresses can lead to a specific location that can be blocked. Here are all the IP's that this person has been so far to check the contributions pattern:

Vandalism Edit War
Is it allowed for me to have kind of an 'edit war' if a user I've already reported to Misplaced Pages:AIV keeps blanking or vandalizing a page, then I revert his changes and he reverts mine and etc. Regards, Dat GuyWiki (talk) 10:59, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
- Three-revert and edit warring rules do not apply in cases of clear violation of more basic wikipedia policies (vandalism, spamming, removal of some maintenance templates, etc.). Materialscientist (talk) 11:03, 27 November 2015 (UTC)

This IP has a months-long history of making small changes to BLPs to insert unsourced dubious material, including recently adding the nickname "Wildy" to a BLP's article. The IP literally seems to do nothing else. You put an anonblock on it back in May, and the tag is still on its talk page, but it's vandalized several times since. valereee (talk) 12:49, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
Mark Little (footballer)
Hi
There is no one documented source, the player in question hasn't been in the starting line up for a few weeks - the only way to source the information would be to link to the BBC website's report on each game. I was just trying to be helpful as I go to watch every game and see it with my own eyes.

calcium citrate
I wonder if you could do a structure for calcium citrate (http://dx.doi.org/10.1002/zaac.201100088). The current one in the chem box is nonsense. Many thanks Petergans (talk) 07:07, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
- I need a structure file in some form. Among Ca-C-O-H compounds we have only whewellite in our CIF database. I'll try to find it elsewhere. Materialscientist (talk) 07:14, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
- Plotted, but the interpretation of bonding is not trivial. The structural images in http://dx.doi.org/10.1002/zaac.201100088 are also an interpretation. Materialscientist (talk) 03:30, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
- Great! Thanks very much. The co-ordination around Ca is very unusual. The dimeric units are held together by 4 bridging oxygen atoms of carboxylate groups. One minor comment - a bond between the two Ca centres of the dimeric unit is very unlikely. Petergans (talk) 10:12, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for comment, I'll check this at work tomorrow. Bonds is drawn by software, and the operator has limited control over the bonding conditions. People who know the field, like the authors of 10.1002/zaac.201100088, tweak the resulting image (manually or via software options). I was concerned that my image is rather far from the cited article in many ways, and didn't think about the Ca-Ca bonding. Materialscientist (talk) 10:24, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, Ca-Ca bonds should not be there. Materialscientist (talk) 11:09, 30 November 2015 (UTC)

No seriously, why do you have to put all the others in "Romanian Armies in the Battle of Stalingrad"? Afterall, it's the ROMANIAN Armies we're talking about, and the article itself is dedicated to Romania. Why can't you let it be fully Romanian?...

Terbium
Hi Materialscientist, I know Terbium very good. I'm also the owner from different purities of terbium. None of a terbium sort are soft enough possible to cut it with a nife. Please can you me say the side from the CRC-handbook where I can read it. This: "soft enough to be cut with a knife" is nonsense. --Alchemist-hp (talk) 13:02, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
- C.R. Hammond in "The elements" in the CRC Handbook says that terbium can be cut with a knife; he says the same for many other lanthanides. Of course this statement is not scientific, as it depends on the knife material and on the knife user (housewife or heavyweight weightlifter). I only worked with highly pure, but rather small lanthanide samples, and thus couldn't judge their hardness. Materialscientist (talk) 00:26, 29 November 2015 (UTC)

Quick block request
Could you block me indefinitely? I'm trying to test an interwiki thing with Commons, and I don't know if a self-imposed block would work equally well. I already tried it with my backup account, but it didn't work (even when the account wasn't blocked), so I'd like to try it with this account. I'd like an indefinite block so that I don't have to hurry; it would be annoying if I couldn't complete the test before the block expires. Please disable autoblock, and please use a rationale that makes it clear that (1) this is a block for technical purposes, and (2) nobody should complain when I unblock myself. Thanks! Nyttend (talk) 22:49, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
- Done (forgot #2, but should be Ok). Materialscientist (talk) 22:54, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks. Are you familiar with C:GR? It says If the replacement was done by a file mover or administrator (verify) according to our policies, do not block this user as it would be useless, but it seems to be wrong. I put c:File:Fnbosubgourodbwaofebosgosub foubug.png into my sandbox here, and after you blocked me, I moved it to c:File:Shorter title.png after checking "Try to replace usage immediately using your user account". You can see that the file rename didn't happen here; it stayed at the gibberish title. I then moved the image back to the previous title, unblocked myself here, re-renamed the Commons file, and it worked normally. Am I misunderstanding something, or is the bit about "as it would be useless" in error? Meanwhile, see ; it's possible to use RevDelete when blocked. Have you ever heard a discussion of whether this is intentional or not? Nyttend (talk) 23:04, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
- Ugh, my brain is not awake enough to understand the problem :-). When I rename on Commons, the corresponding local rename on en.wiki is treated as my personal edit (not bot edit). This local rename would be blocked if my en.wiki account was blocked, no matter what Commons policies say. Materialscientist (talk) 23:13, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
- That's what I mean — as I read it, C:GR is saying that blocking the en:wp account won't stop the replacement ("Unwanted replacement edits under user accounts other than bots might be prevented by using the AbuseFilter"), but in fact, the block really does stop replacement. No more comments from me until you respond, so that you can sleep and understand better :-) Nyttend (talk) 23:17, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
- Well, there is this section at the bottom , which basically repeats my message above. As to the top part, C:GR can't impose rules for local wikis, such as blocks. Materialscientist (talk) 23:28, 28 November 2015 (UTC)

the danse society wiki page
hi Materialscientist i am the founder member of the band and continue to perform under the name the danse society.the page is very inaccurate and biased . i did not not leave the band walk into the sunset to leave the woman singer and her guitarist boyfriend to be the danse society and live happily ever after .unfortunately the truth full version of events keeps getting changed or vandalized and i dont have the know how to reference stuff.i would appreciate it. if may be you could help with this .there is alternate danse societys this one actually tours and records, owns the trademark and the ltd company .it has a web site face book page twitter and a new album out .wiki should not be used as battle ground to put out disinformation to the benefit of another,s agenda . the last version of the danse society split up and it was not unexpected .the person who edited this inaccuracy are the people in the other version of danse society which goes against wiki principles where any thing can be true and as it is seen as a world wide reference. it is wrong that it should be allowed to remain as unbalanced as it is. in someones favor.there is always two sides to a story , except i cant seem to get mine on wiki. yet i exist in the real world and play real shows un like the other version ..

Ralph Doubell
Hi - any luck in using an alternative photo? One of Ralph? Or at least take the current photo down?
There are two alternatives on Getty Images that I imagine are also free. ] ]
- No, these two are copyrighted. Materialscientist (talk) 05:33, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
Right - so can we take the current picture down until we find a replacement?
- Sure, but first, what it your evidence it is another person? Do you have an idea who that might be? Materialscientist (talk) 23:27, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
From speaking to my father - he thinks it is an amateur Tasmanian athlete that he couldn't name. My evidence would be all the other images of Ralph that are online. How might I be able to disprove the image? Or can you suggest where I would find an image that is copyright free? I tried to contact Athletics Australia and the IAAF but have not received a response.
- That image comes from the 1968 Olympics, thus I doubt it is an amateur Tasmanian athlete - there were very few Australian runners there . I wonder if you spoke to your father, maybe you could upload a public-domain image of him to Wikimedia Commons? Materialscientist (talk) 23:15, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
This image definitely is not a member of the Australian '68 Olympic team. Certainly not of any of those listed in your source. Best guess is it's a South Australian Athlete called Chris Woods who came 3rd in the '65/'66 800m Australian Championships.
I will look to upload an image - but are you also able to see if you can find an alternative free one? I'm not familiar with copyright laws and not sure where to source them.

Hi
There is an odd thing on the gallium nitride page. In the property table on the right it says that it reacts with water but on the bottom it says that bulk GaN is biocompatible. Addition
Sir Yes sorry. I have arrest warrants. I will have to do some research on how to do this being new!
How is adding a space after a comma vandalism?
This is very insignificant but it is bothering me more than it should. On the page for "Noble savage," there is an instance where there is a comma with no space after it: "He is here denying the right of a prince, who is threatening him with death,to put him to death..." It made it hard to read so I simply added a space after the comma to make it correct. My edits were then reverted by two different users for not being constructive, and then I was told that what I was doing was vandalism. Why do people revert changes this small if there is nothing wrong with them? How does something like this warrant such swift and consistent confrontation? I guess I just don't understand Misplaced Pages

Please remember to assume good faith; messaging users with "guns blaring", as you did here, is not a good way to inquire about Materialscientist's reversion of your content. It does not focus on content but instead focuses on the person, which is discouraged behavior. It would have been much better if you had just asked why he reverted your content. Re: Edit of Photoelectric Effect
Dear Materialscientist, I write in response to the talk about this edit. New to Wiki edit, I accidentally overlooked the edit summary part. Sorry for that. The edit concerned that as far as my limited understanding (I know you are a PhD in physics so let me be humble), in classical wave theory, the intensity of an EM wave depends on the amplitude of the electric field strength and magnetic flux density (to be more precise, either one only as they are related with a factor ). We may also refer to the expressions for the energy densities of EM waves in terms of electric field strength and magnetic flux density, i.e. . The expressions show that the wave intensity does not depend on frequency or wavelength. In fact, this webpage explicitly says that photoelectric effect is not expected to be varied by a change in wavelength/frequency in classical wave theory. Please let me know if I have made any mistakes. Thank you so much.

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Catholic Church has been undone because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Materialscientist (talk) 04:38, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
Material scientist: I fail to see how it is not constructive. the edits in question clarified that the Church based in Rome is not the only Catholic churches and is lead by the pope. Lutherans, Anglicans, Orthodox and many consider them to be a catholic church even though they do not follow the teachings of a bishop in Rome. Whilst I don't intend to argue the reformation ( :) ) I do find it helpful to clarify (and Educate) for others the common ground and that the Catholic church extends beyond the monocracy in Rome. Of course I recognize that many who follow the bishop of rome, may disagree and have for many years tried to persecute protestants, but don't you think its time to get us all together and recognize the commonality of the judeo/christian/muslim faiths? Hello Materialscientist, no I don't think you've made a mistake. I'm new here and do not yet understand functions like sandbox or where to write if I find a page problematic without changing it. Yesterday I found the page Culture of Quebec to contain information about the many culturally important anglophone Quebecers & therefore was unsure if it was not erroneous to preface a link to such a page as French. It was for this reason that I reconstructed the page to reflect a more precise description of the page linked within. Leifou (talk) 17:40, 3 December 2015 (UTC)

Edit
Hello there's a edit is like to make on a welding page. Adding a image could you help me out and explain how I would add a image onto the Misplaced Pages welding page? Andthenew16 (talk) 10:16, 4 December 2015 (UTC)
- Start by reading WP:IMAGES.
- Note that the main thing about adding images to articles on WP is that the image has to come from Wikimedia Commons, or Misplaced Pages itself (I would strongly recommend Commons instead). You can't embed an image that's out on the web, the image must be hosted by Wikimedia.
- There's also the question of image copyright, which Wikimedia takes very seriously. Andy Dingley (talk) 11:03, 4 December 2015 (UTC)

RfA nomination Qed237
Hi.
I write this message to you as you are one of the administrators that I come in contact with on a regular basis.
The reason is this nomination at my talkpage from a editor that I dont have talk with very much, but I see him/her editing the same articles. I have been nominated by others before (never nominated myself), but in those cases I withdrew immediately, before voting started, because I did not feel ready.
Now I wonder if you, as an administrator, have any comments regarding this nomination or perhaps even questions? Do you think I have any chance of becoming an administrator and that I should move on with the nomination or should I withdraw? What is my next step?
Any comments would be appreciated. Thank you. Qed237 (talk) 02:03, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
- User:Qed237, if Materialscientist mislikes it not, your numbers look pretty decent--active on the boards, and you've created a lot of content. It's on sports, so it's boring biographies and stuff (haha), but something like this doesn't look bad at all. I have run into you here and there and I don't remember any bad experiences. Much depends, for an active vandal fighter like you, on article and content creation, and at first glance that seems to be OK. What I don't know is if you've done much of the kind of thing that I think admins should do as well, which is mediating, talking people off the ledge, so to speak. You should be the judge of that. Whether this person is the right person to nominate you, that's a different question. Good luck, Drmies (talk) 04:50, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Drmies: Thank you for replying. As you say, I have not been mediating that much. What I have done is mentoring a user that had a lot of issues and needed much help (I got several talkpage messages every day), but other than that not much mediating. I will think hard about this, but I feel no rush becoming an admin, as my main focus would still be on editing. What I could mostly help with is to block all vandalism only-account and IP's when following my watchlist as I spot a lot there. Also I could help at WP:RPP, specially under football transfer season, when editors change content in BLP's based on rumours. Now I just add requests all the time and about 95% of them lead to a protection. Qed237 (talk) 11:21, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
- GiantSnowman, what do you say? Drmies (talk) 18:36, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Drmies and GiantSnowman: I have decide to withdraw the nomination this time to be 100% prepared for every question I might get in the RfA process. It is possible that I would look in to becoming an admin in the future so if you have more information that might help me become I better editor I would appreciate it. Also I read and got told about Misplaced Pages:Requests for adminship/Optional RfA candidate poll, which I might give a go sometime. Qed237 (talk) 22:23, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
- Edit more widely, involve yourself more with noticeboard discussions, and go when you feel ready, not when others do. GiantSnowman 08:00, 6 December 2015 (UTC)

Derrick Williams
As pertaining to your last edit to my edit of Derrick Willams, I have to respectfully challenge your editing. I am an expert on NBA and know wxtensivley about NBA drafts and prosepects. As major Sports talk shows, analysts, and NBA personel label Derrick Willaims a bust or a player that does not pan out in a draft, this is not a hurtful label to put on the man. He earned it and acknolowged it even in an interview. Please consider what I have told you.

Cui Yongyuan
I saw that you reverted a recent edit on this entry. Is it because of lack citations?
Thanks for the prompt reply! I only noticed this for there is an on-going news story about Cui and given the controversy, i think most of the earlier edits are as neutral as it can be. I can help to add sources and citations as much as i can, and maybe others will chime in as well. But if it is still sub-par afterwards, please revert as you see fit, but at the same time, help guide us into better editing habits.
Appreciate your dedications and thank you for helping keeping Misplaced Pages the way it is.
Thanks

I did not do the thing you accuse me of
Hello, I am fed up. I am accused by you of making test edits, which I have not done. I am also periodically blocked from making edits at all because I am accused of destructive editing. This is disgraceful. I have never done this. Occasionally I seek to update information on some of the aviation history pages where my own published books and articles, or those of others recently published, update information on Wiki pages. This is disgraceful too. I have NEVER made destructive editing, or edits aimed at attacking anyone, etc. When I queried this before, I was told my IP is shared by others. So what? This is 2015, you have the ability to identify individuals instead of a stupid, ignorent, block of hundreds of people on the same IP just because one idiot has made edits you don't like. You people on Wiki are sailing very close to a law suit here. It is at best disrespectful to accuse people like myself of distructive editing which I have never done, one day one of us who are totally unjustly blocked might just turn up with a lawyer. Think of that. I reserve the absolute right to be able to edit where my own research is incorrently inserted on your pages. For example, I wrote a book on the Ta 152. Someone mis-read what I wrote and put their misreading on your Wiki page on the Ta 152. Because at that time I was able to edit without your stupid block ban, I was able to edit and correct what had been said. When I am unjustly blocked I cannot make such a necessary corrction. Think of that too.

Ammonium ferric citrate
I wonder if Ammonium ferric citrate merits a crystal structure (reference 1). The most interesting detail is the deprotonation of the citric acid OH group. I had added a section at citric acid#Acid-base and chelation characteristics which describes how the 4th proton is lost from citric acid itself only in strongly alkaline solutions. There is also a link to this page.
I have partially revised the Chem Box in this article, but I'm not sure that it is up to date in the light of this structure.Petergans (talk) 16:54, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
- Added structure. Being non-chemist, I don't understand the flat NH4 groups there - maybe the software created those from dangling fragments. Materialscientist (talk) 03:00, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks very much for the structure. The paper illustrates the structure of a single iron complex and does not mention tha ammonium ions. Petergans (talk) 09:08, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
- I took the structure file from the very same paper. XRD doesn't detect hydrogens, thus they are placed by the modelling software based on simple valence assumptions. I don't know what bonding angle restrictions are built in the software they used. Materialscientist (talk) 09:18, 7 December 2015 (UTC)

Move
Can you kindly move this User:Nvvchar/Pranagnihotra Upanishad to main space? Thanks.Nvvchar. 01:51, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
- Done. If you wonder why there were so many reference errors after move, this is because of extraneous spaces in the sfn templates, and inconsistent use of "page" parameter, such as p=645-646 instead of pp=645-646 and vice versa - reference template coding has become very strict for formatting recently (to the better or worse). Sharad Sankla's role in Baadshah film
I believe that the actor Sharad Sankla is in this film, which is https://en.wikipedia.org/Baadshah_(1999_film). I don't exactly have proof that can be cited because there is nothing I could find. But in the film, which can be seen at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eELCzAa-foI At the 7:36 mark I believe that the man outside wearing the hat is Sharad Sankla. I figured his character's name in the film is "Chauki Lal" as this was what he was called in the scene at 7:36. In the film's end credits Chauki Lal is credited to being played by simply "Charlie". After doing research I found out "Charlie" was a name of a character played by Sankla in the film Baazigar. So I believe the end credits to Baadshah contained a mistake.
There is this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SI6BnzQ0fq8 where he is talking in Hindi and mentions that he'd been in the Hindi film for 22 years. After watching the film Baadshah I recognized him. I figured it would be nice to give Sharad Sankla recognition for his role in the film, as he clearly doesn't get recognition a lot. However, I cannot find concrete proof that suggest he is in fact "Charlie".
If this is Misplaced Pages credit is not allowed then that is fine. No issue.

Patrick Swayze not treated by CyberKnife
Hi,
I forgot to enter a message on my edit for the CyberKnife page. The article that was referenced does not specifically state that Patrick Swayze was treated by CyberKnife; only that Stanford, where Swayze was treated, has a CyberKnife. Based on what is publicly known about Swayze's disease, it would be highly unlikely that CyberKnife would have been an appropriate treatment at the stage he had cancer treatment at Stanford.

It's ironic that you suggest I accurately describe my changes, while you haven't said anything about my correction that you have reverted. Maybe learn more about being helpful to others before you go around lecturing on the subject, thanks. Of course I think you made a mistake. Doesn't almost every "recipient" of your reversions? I assume this is a pre-fabricated message. That's why it seems passive-aggressive; it seems friendly but it's just bulk spam. "If I would like to experiment"?! lol. Could you be more conscending?! 110.20.158.134 (talk) 02:48, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- Maybe I misread you as saying "as I will respond." Because you haven't. If you aren't going to, just revert my edit, whatever it was, and stay out of my way in future. Maybe you are a bot. Your words and actions so far have not led me to think otherwise. Thank you. 110.20.158.134 (talk) 09:18, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
- Sigh, here you removed content and introduced an error (Australia is a continent); hence my revert and warning. Please use edit summaries with your edits, then those who revert you would feel like returning the favor and explain. Materialscientist (talk) 09:33, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
Loganville, Georgia
Hi. I got your message about reverting the edits I made to Loganville, Georgia. I do not understand the instructions for how to include citations, but Loganville does not have a "half portion" in Gwinnett County. It is located mostly in Walton County, with a small portion in Gwinnett County. The other edits I made on the town's history are from the town's website so I presume that they were accurate.
Swimmers again
Hi! I know you're probably busy, but have you seen my notes from a few days ago on your user talk? Trijnsteltalk 23:45, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- I'm always glad to see your posts, but please clarify this one - those two swimmers have their en.wiki pages with photos - how can I help further with them? Did you mean the nl.wiki pages have some important info that should be included into en.wiki pages? Materialscientist (talk) 00:09, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
Prof. Mc block IP block blocking an editor
You've probably seen the message at User talk:Prof. Mc - hopefully you'll unblock him. There's no problem and he's working with our Ed people to restructure the assignement. Doug Weller (talk) 14:34, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
- Sorry, that is clearly an IP block that you made at some point, you didn't block him. Doug Weller (talk) 18:08, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
Sources
Hello,
Some of your sources are blocked behind ad's / sign up pages. The Elle king portion is a good example. Can you provide alternative sources? Fangrim (talk) 16:31, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
Divine Word College
Hi there,
I'm wondering why you chose to address only my edit? The page does not have citations elsewhere, which is noted at the top as problematic, yet mine is the only text you've questioned.

not everything needs a reference. The statement that opinions on RMP represent a very small sample of people that take these classes is common sense. Common sense does not need referencing

Unblock request on hold
I have placed an unblock request at User talk:Prof. Mc on hold. It relates to a CheckUser block which you placed on the IP range 2605:A000:161C:0:0:0:0:0/48. Can you have look at it? At a quick glance Prof. Mc doesn't look like a disruptive editor, so maybe it's collateral damage, but obviously you will be better able to judge than I am. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 21:47, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
- There is an LTA editor X sitting on this range since 2 October. Prof. Mc was not a target, but he (or nobody else, apart from X) never edited from there until 12 December. I can change the block to a softblock, but I would ask first, does Prof. Mc really need to edit from 2605:A000:161C::48 ? Granting IPBE is also an option. Materialscientist (talk) 22:24, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks. I've posted to Prof. Mc, asking if he/she can just edit from a different IP address; if not, we can consider the other options. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 16:44, 13 December 2015 (UTC)

I believe this is an open proxy and possibly being used as a sock or block evasion. Could you verify, and if so, do whatever needs to be done? --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 22:29, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
- Blocked as a proxy (VPN), no socks on this IP. Materialscientist (talk) 22:52, 12 December 2015 (UTC)

Vandalism
This user is on a vandalism spree. Could you have a look? Regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 04:12, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- That was quick! Thanks. :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 04:35, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
Preventing possible vandalism of content in the article
This is regarding the article National Herald Case, here the duplicate and unnecessary content has been added , old content deleted without any proper reason. It seems that the media highlights of the case in India makes it bit sensitive. I have been able to restore the content as much as possible but again the same issue. My request is that please look into the unnecessary edits going on ASAP and if possible add to it "semi-protected" sort of mode for a particular time to prevent it from vandalism.

I have a real problem here
Please block or ban this person who blanked the High Desert article with his IP address, then registered as (Ben marko (talk). You can read the talk page to see his handy work, and his trick. Please move ASAP on this. I'm getting tired of reverting. Thanks Pocketthis (talk) 00:18, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
Why was the page Desert (California) reverted to contain destructive edits? I had warned the user Pocketthis about making destructive edits, he responded by becoming hostile and making threats. Can the page please be restored? Thank you - (Ben marko (talk) 00:33, 14 December 2015 (UTC))
- User Pocketthis was waned about making destructive edits, he responded by becoming hostile and making threats. Please undo his destructive edits. (Ben marko (talk) 00:34, 14 December 2015 (UTC))

<Begin Foghorn Leghorn> Hands off the pun, son. (that boy's about as sharp....)<end rstr>
- Ben marko almost blanked the page this morning with a 10,000 character edit using his IP address. Then, he registers as Ben marko, and begins making the article: "The high desert according to Ben marco". When he was finished, the article was a stub. He is a vandal, a sock puppet, and an experienced editor with an agenda here. It was one of the cutest editing vandalizing tricks I've ever seen. Anyone that investigates the history there today will understand. Be sure to look just prior to his edits, and see him almost blanking the page with his IP address. Then, after I spent all morning reconstructing the page, he shows up and reverts another 10,000 characters. MS, This isn't a dispute issue. This is a vandal on a mission, and it's only his first day under his new name....lol. -Thanks for protecting the page for our readers, and getting there so quickly. You're the best - Pocketthis (talk) 01:05, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
High Desert Article error
Hello again MS, and sorry to bother you with this. Since an admin is the only editor allowed in this article for a few days, I want to make you aware of the first sentence in Geography, the second section. It reads: "A biogeography-defined boundary would of of San Bernardino County, as well as a northern portion of Riverside County south of San Bernardino County". Of course that makes no sense at all, and it was one of his edits that I missed when reconstructing. Perhaps just removing the sentence completely for now, and letting the second sentence start the section, would be best for now, until the article is reviewed for editing on the 17th. Thanks - Pocketthis (talk) 03:40, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
- I removed my last post, because I misread your edit notes to read "My" instead of "remove", so my post will not longer be relevant, nor funny. Thanks for your diligence, as always - Pocketthis (talk) 04:16, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
Continued Acts of Vandalism by KrakatoaKatie on Billy the Kid article
Would you please take a look at the blatant acts of vandalism being conducted by one KrakatoaKatie on my contributions to the article on Billy the Kid. This person has destroyed what had been a highly detailed, historically accurate, treatment of Billy the Kid's life and replaced it with something that is at a comic book level. I ask that you look at my treatment of the Kid's life, as it existed only a couple of days age before this malicious individual went to work. What this person is doing is not only an insult to anyone who takes the history of the Wild West seriously, it is a clear affront to common decency. Thank you. (Jack DeMattos)
