- Cassander, the Macedonian Regent, besieges Olympias, mother of Alexander the Great, in Pydna. Cassander soon captures the city, kills Olympias, and regains custody of the young king Alexander IV and his mother Roxane. The young Alexander and Roxane are never seen in public again.
