    BIshop Ford High School

As of April 13, 2014. Bishop Ford had an emergency meeting and voted unanimous to close it doors on June 30, 2014. This is after all the finals , state and regent exams is taken. All the alma maters are deeply sadden to hear the FALCONS have flown the coop so fast. The school have 450 students as right now when it should be high as 1300. This is 75% dropped of enrollment. The building is 50 years old and there is a $1 million dollars in repair. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.187.221.95 (talk) 00:07, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

I'm guessing you want us to add that to the article page. I have found a source confirming that, so I'll add a note on the article page. CTF83! 02:02, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

Need help navigating policy for article on company. Issues: BLP-esque material, promotional and close to source

Judging by the content and the username (PTAS2012) it seems the Pacific Title Archives entry is being edited by an account that at the very least looks like it may have some connection to the company and could be an employee editing the article. I started to remove some of the peacock-y language until I reached the section on the current management. The section is essentially 4 or 5 mini bios on the executives. I do not know much about BLP other than it is a big no-no. Between the BLP and paid editing concerns it is obvious I am out of my element as far as WP policy goes. I wanted to see if someone with more experience could take a look at the article. In addition to the BLP and peacock terms the inclusion of giant head shots of each executive make the article look like a yearbook. Thanks in advance. I've reverted to the last non-puffy version I could see. I don't know if this was best, though, so others may want to weigh in. - Purplewowies (talk) 03:25, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
I have weighed in. We often see someone trying to promote a company by creating a Misplaced Pages article about it, and then having problems establishing notability. Here, someone has had used the cleverer method of finding an existing but little-read article, and subverting it to be about his own company, thereby bypassing the need to establish notability. (Something similar happened a few years ago, where an article about a disused USAF base in Texas was subverted by the company that was redeveloping the site.) photos (taken myself.)

Where do I go to add images so that I can use them for visual information in certain topics? I did find one uploader but it will not load up for me correctly. I have attempted to try using universal image tags, but this site does not accept them, so I conclude that uploading is unfortunately the only way to attach images to any article I am going over. Wonderworldamusementpark (talk) 04:18, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

I'm not sure what you mean by "universal image tags" but I think you mean that you're trying to use images that are offsite. You're correct in that that does not work. In order to be used in articles, images must be either here on the English Misplaced Pages or on Wikimedia Commons. By uploading them to Commons, they would be available to all the different languages that Misplaced Pages is available in. In order to upload the images to Commons, please go to Commons:Main Page and click on the Upload button at the top right. In order to just upload them here at the English Misplaced Pages, you would go to Misplaced Pages:File Upload Wizard. Note: You only need to upload them to one or the other, not both. Once uploaded, then you can place them in articles. Dismas| 05:30, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

In order to have an article in this encyclopedia, an organization must be notable. By that, we mean that it should be recognized by people outside the organization as worthy of mention in books, magazines, news organizations, etc. For a non-profit, WP:CORP has the specific requirements for a non-profit organization. Additionally, I've left a welcome message on your talk page with more links and information about Misplaced Pages and writing articles here. Dismas| 05:25, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

    Fouad Chaaban

    Dear Sirs,

i have made the below page, for someone Mr. Fouad Chaaban, two months ago and it still did not appear in the search box.

I have contacted Mr. Mathew and he told me that he has converted the page from a userpage to something else by using this code: {AFC submission|||ts=20140415061606|u=Fouad Chaaban|ns=4} where he has submitted on my behalf. however, he said i will receive an email regarding this but i actually did not receive any.

I would really appreciate your help with this if you could tell me how can i make it appear in the search box since this article is 100% my own work.

This is the URL of the page if it helps you:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/User:Fouad_Chaaban

Thank you for your help in advance.

Regards, Fouad Chaaban (talk) 06:16, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

in looking at your contributions I am not seeing anything that looks like it was submitted to the Articles for Creation process, all I am seeing is a rather promotional resume that is not supported by any reliably published third party sources which are required for a stand alone article that is now sitting as your user page. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 06:34, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
The above template would need {{ }}, not { }. If you created the page as an article about someone else, you are not allowed to use that person's name as your username. If you would like to remain a Misplaced Pages editor, and you are not Fouad Chaaban, you need to follow the directions at WP:CHU. If you are he, you are strongly discouraged from writing your own article.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 21:30, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

    Table issues

When try to clean-up the calendar WikiProject Formula One uses on it's season articles, and specifically to try and clean-up the different line-breaks in the text that occur when viewing the articles in the mobile version of the articles. Another user came to the conclusion that the only way to prevent the cell contents from breaking unaesthetically over more than two lines was to put the flags present in the table into a separate column. Another user raised the justified concern that the heading for that column would create confusion. Therefore I searched for ways to keep the flags column in the table, but hide the heading at the same time and the best I got is this:

At first glance this looks perfect, however when viewed on the mobile version of the site, the flags column and its contents gets crushed entirely making it utterly unreadable. I'm clueless as to what is causing this and on how to prevent this from happening. I was hoping that someone could help us out here. Tvx1 (talk) 08:27, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

The issue will be solved by following WP:MOSFLAG. the usage in this table does not meet the criteria for when flags should be used. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 08:37, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
That might solve the issue for this particular case. But there many more examples for where these flags are used 100% procent within MOS:Flags's guidelines, such as the driver's table, where the problem will still persist. So this is not a helpful answer to solve this technical issue in general. Tvx1 (talk) 08:43, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
Tables that wide do not work well on most mobile devices anyway. The right side gets cut off altogether and it is not possible to scroll across (at least on my mobile that's the case). You might try WP:VPT for better technical help on this. SpinningSpark 23:27, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

About the deleted page "Capri Cavalli"

I keep seeing this page being deleted due to "the fact that the person is insignificant", but I do see a lot of less famous pornstars(at least less famous than Capri Cavalli) having their Misplaced Pages pages. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.152.187.110 (talk) 08:36, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

1)In Misplaced Pages notability is based upon whether third party reliable sources have found the subject worthy of discussion, not whether its "famous". 2) WP:OTHERCRAP. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 08:39, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
Additionally, the notability criteria can be found at WP:PORNBIO. And an effort is being made by at least one editor to purge all the lesser known porn star bios. Dismas| 08:59, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

    Richard Corbett

    Hello,

I edited a page on the former British politician Richard Corbett on Saturday. I can't see the edit any more - why is this? It was a summary of his voting record when he was a MEP in the European Parliament. Do you need to be a registered user to make edits? There is no lock symbol on the page. Richard Corbett

Many thanks, Miriam. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.130.157.99 (talk) 10:58, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

If you are referring to this edit it was reverted by an unregistered user with the edit summary "Undid revision 603874757 which was a very odd selection of votes to establish a "voting record", possibly posted by a campaigning organisation". SpinningSpark 11:08, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
And if you don't accept that user's reversion, the thing to do now is to open a discussion on the article's talk page Talk:Richard Corbett, and try to achieve consensus. (I changed your URL to a wikilink above) --ColinFine (talk) 12:22, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

I don't believe so, though there might be a tool that can do something similar. I can't think of such a tool off the top of my head, however, so perhaps not. Most articles should not contain links to date articles anyway. --NYKevin 23:48, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

    April 16

    In an unusual pickle.

A couple of days ago, I responded to a Reference Desk question about the Maple Leafs have been less succesful than the Canadiens. As a neutral-minded Sens fan, I figured I'd be safe offering up the story of Bill Barilko as something to consider. And, for a while, I was.

But today, I helpfully Wikilinked "curse" to Sports-related curses. Clicking through, I noticed some problems with Barilko's entry. As you can see from the edit history, I noted what little numerology I noticed. Simple multiplication and inversion, nothing too weird. But I hadn't noticed the time I made the edit, and the size (5 x 13). That is too weird.

Before I noticed any of this, I made a three more changes: about the number 11, two people lost and the word "same". Two minutes later, the article had similarly lost two bytes.

I looked at the new article size and, concerned by it ending in five, divided by 15 and Googled the result. After not understanding a thing about a certain gene, I decided to check out the equally incomprehensible 3487.com. After Google translating, the very first words I saw were Aircraft timetable.

So, long story short, can someone revert my edits for me before I die? If you're worried about losing the info I added, you can readd and/or reword. But be careful. You may become even more worried, too. InedibleHulk (talk) 01:15, April 16, 2014 (UTC)

Oh God, it's another 15 in my timestamp. InedibleHulk (talk) 01:16, April 16, 2014 (UTC)
    Even worse, it's 1:15. 115/5 = 23 enigma. InedibleHulk (talk) 01:19, April 16, 2014 (UTC)

I didn't source anything. It's all original research. Wasn't sourced in the article I read it from, either. If you can't undo it for me, undo it per WP:V! InedibleHulk (talk) 10:32, April 16, 2014 (UTC)

I'll remind you of voodoo death. Doesn't matter if it's irrational. If you think that concept is bullshit itself, the existing source I tacked my original research onto is a YouTube video of a copyrighted program. Pretend I'm a newb IP who didn't bother to give you the "crazy" context. Pretend there's just an article in trouble. InedibleHulk (talk) 00:08, April 18, 2014 (UTC)

The structure of Heroin (English version) is wrong

    Resolved

Dear sir/madam: The structure of Heroin (English version) is wrong. Here I attach you a webpage where you could copy. http://www.sigmaaldrich.com/catalog/product/fluka/h159?lang=en&region=BE Best regards, — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.224.28.62 (talk) 08:37, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

Hello. I guess you're talking about the structural formula in the article Heroin. You're right that structure is different from that in the link you gave, in that there are two methyl groups instead of hydroxyls. I guess that there are slightly different versions of heroin available: the article says that "Heroin itself is an inactive drug, but when inserted into the body, it converts into morphine", which very much suggests that there could be chemically slightly different versions which have the same effect. If you think the article can be improved, you are welcome to do so, or to make a suggestion on the article's talk page Talk:Heroin; but you should have more reliable sources for the changes you want to make than a sales catalogue. --ColinFine (talk) 09:08, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

    Articles with "weasel words"

I just noticed that an innocent looking edit to FATCA agreement between Canada and the United States had placed this article in a category which appears to indicate that there is something shady about the article. Just wondering why? Thanks in advance, XOttawahitech (talk) 09:45, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

(edit conflict)It's the Who? template. The editor added it because the sentence "The cost to Canadian banks is said to be "enormous"." doesn't say who said that particular word. Although it is referenced... Dismas| 09:53, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the prompt reply, Dismas. I would like to remove the Who? template, but am not sure how to change the wording in the Misplaced Pages article. This is what the source (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) says:
While banks say they will still be left on the hook for the enormous compliance costs of tracking and reporting all this additional information on some of their clients, this agreement spares them the penalties the U.S. was threatening for non-compliance; a 30 per cent withholding tax on all of their U.S. transactions.
Thanks again, XOttawahitech (talk) 10:25, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
A wording something like "according to foo, banks say..." should solve the problem. SpinningSpark 10:37, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
...and maybe it should say Canadian banks, which is what I believe the source is discussing. SpinningSpark 10:40, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

    User name

    Hi,

i'm publishing content of generell interest relating to Curesec GmbH. Because we wanted to do this with transparency, we decided to use "curesec" as our username, so that everyone could see, where the edits are coming from. I now read that using promotional names is forbidden. So should i use a name not related to our company and do this undercover. I think this is not what Misplaced Pages is about?

We are offering a free checkup for the Heartbleed Vulnerability in our blog. While big companies are allowed to offer there checks, we are not. Our entry was deleted. Isn t any Heartbleed check of generell interest, no matter what company it comes from? If you allow any company to publish their test, why not all tests of all companies offering them. This is not just.

Best regards curesec — Preceding unsigned comment added by Curesec (talkcontribs) 10:20, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

You are correct in that your username should be changed. You can do this at WP:CHU. And editing articles which you have a direct connection to is frowned upon as well because you have a conflict of interest. See more on that at WP:COI. We are here to build an encyclopedia and not do advertising or provide "how-to" sorts of articles. If your company, Curesec, is notable enough for an article, one could be written about it. But again, that should not be done by you. You can see the notability requirements for companies at WP:CORP. Does this help? I'll also be leaving a welcome message on your talk page which might also be of assistance. Dismas| 10:53, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
You should also note that accounts on Misplaced Pages are for individual editors, not for an organization. Sharing an account, as you imply you are doing by the use of the "we" pronoun, is strictly forbidden under our ]. We are not encouraging you to do anythign "undercover". In fact, users who have a conflict of interest are encouraged to declare their affilitiations on their userpage.
You have no deleted edits under your account so I am unclear what was deleted and where, but you may want to read our notability guideline. SpinningSpark 10:56, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Curesec, You could choose a username that is for an individual but still shows your connection; for example. "Susie at Curesec" or "Curesec Jones" —Anne Delong (talk) 12:37, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Can I just add that you're wrong when you say "big companies are allowed to offer there (sic) checks". No one should be using Misplaced Pages to promote their business, and if you've seen any company doing so, let us know and we'll investigate it. Rojomoke (talk) 12:33, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

    Multiple articles about one band

Dear editors: When is it appropriate to have multiple articles about a musical group? I can see how it's necessary for a band with a long history to document (the Beatles, for example), but what determines when this becomes appropriate? For example, there is VIXX, VIXX filmography, VIXX discography, and now, just created, List of awards and nominations received by VIXX. How many recordings, awards, etc., should lead to a separate article? —Anne Delong (talk) 12:28, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Summary style when there is enough sourced content about a particular aspect so that the full coverage of that aspect would create an overall WP:UNDUE weight, then spinning off that content to a stand alone daughter article is appropriate. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 14:02, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
in the example above that you have named, i could see an article about the band and one for their discography/videos. The sourced awards are trivial and can be included appropriately in the main article and there is no value in things like listing radio appearances or walk on appearances in TV shows. (note that K-pop has rabid fans who frequently have little understanding that Misplaced Pages is not a fan page or an understanding of WP:OTHERCRAP, and so convincing those editors could be an exercise that stretches the patience of a saint - "THAT band has seven articles and MY band is almost as popular so it should have at least 4!!!!!") -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 14:08, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Drmies (talk · contribs) is our resident K-Pop admin-expert, maybe he would like to weigh in...--kelapstick 14:11, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Well. All those articles have those sub-articles because that's what all those articles have. It is reminiscent of a template being followed for each and every band to build a walled garden for each and every one of them, with K-pop itself being a walled garden where normal editing guidelines don't apply. TheRedPenOfDoom is quite correct in their assessment, and it applies to the majority of such articles. There can be no question of excessive article length in this case since, as these edits indicate, the article itself was basically just a fan site. Drmies (talk) 17:37, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
And this is accepted? —Anne Delong (talk) 19:10, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
You sometimes need to pick and choose your battles. In situations of large fanbases dedicated more to their fandom than making an encyclopedia, it generally takes several people dedicated to the task at the same time and on a more or less permanent basis to begin to make a dent. I personally think your great work addressing the AfC backlog is a better use of your time than getting involved in that mess. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 19:20, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
One is reminded of Blazing Saddles, where only a fool will go up against Mongo. Drmies (talk) 20:07, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Why don't these K-pop people make their own wiki of they don't like the rules in this one? There are other large groups whose articles are strictly controlled (religious groups, for example); these articles aren't just unnecessary - a lot of them have very poor or no sources. The ones I looked at weren't even tagged for this. And everyone has decided to leave them alone? I see no point in trying to get the new editors in Afc to follow policy if the established ones don't have to. Hmmm, I am a fan too. Maybe it's time I quit Afc and devoted my time to creating an article listing speeches and public appearance by Isaac Asimov.... and maybe a list article for his 14 honorary doctorates, a separate page for his many awards, an article about all the characters in his novels with character sketches; summaries of all of his editorials, a list translations into various languages, a list of successful authors who have been inspired by him... after all, I can't let some K-pop band have more articles than old Isaac. —Anne Delong (talk) 01:45, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages was able to get the WP:POKEMON problem under relatively under control; and eventually, the K-pop problem will be mitigated as well. but it will probably take a serendipitous convergence of timing of several people who all feel that their best value-add to the project is their dedicated concentration on the topic. Hopefully that day will come soon. And thanks to Drmies for his work there now to keep it from getting much worser. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 02:08, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

Are you looking at the official Misplaced Pages site or one of the many mirrors and forks? The only image currently in the article is a blue stone that looks much like many of the stones on a google image search. There used to be another image in the article which was removed in September as an error. Striking that, sorry, that wasn't what was removed. Let me start again. Do you mean the first or the second picture? SpinningSpark 13:35, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages talk:Articles for creation/Waterloo Busker Carnival

I created this for review way back in January of this year.....but am not sure if it is actually IN for review.....or what next steps should be taken. Help! DivaWord (talk) 15:30, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

It is not up for review. Have you tried clicking the green button that says: " Submit your draft when you are ready for it to be reviewed! "? It looks as if in some of the edits you got things in a tangle in that area, so I've tried to tidy it up & it should be worth trying the submission button (again if that is what you'd tried to do before). If it fails again, let us know and we can try to submit it on your behalf. --David Biddulph (talk) 15:40, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

    Roksanda Ilincic

The Misplaced Pages article on Roksanda Ilincic I believe has her date of birth wrong, but I don't know how to check it. I have left a note on the article's Talk page indicating this, but I don't know how often Talk pages are patrolled. People will be looking her up on Misplaced Pages more often now, as she has been designing clothes for the Duchess of Cambridge recently. --P123cat1 (talk) 16:44, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

    New Question

I have been composing an article in my sandbox for 3 days. I have been saving and previewing it periodically along the way. After I saved and submitted the draft for review, the article has reverted to what is probably the very first save of the article and is almost empty. Will this bug resolve itself in time once the article is reviewed? Or is my work lost forever? Thanks. https://en.wikipedia.org/User:JASCOAppliedSciences/sandbox — Preceding unsigned comment added by JASCOAppliedSciences (talkcontribs) 17:56, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

The history of the article does not show any 'non-empty' version. You probably forgot to save it. Ruslik_Zero 18:05, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

    Sebastian barker

Please could you correctly set the following? He has 2 marriages, one to Julie Ellis from whom he was divorced and with whom he had two daughters. The second marriage to Sally rouse was dissolved, with whom he had a son and a daughter. This is very important to all of us. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.17.178.153 (talk) 20:11, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

Who is "us" and do you have a published reliable source to these alleged marriages? The Google searches "Sebastian barker" "Julie Ellis" and "Sebastian barker" "Sally rouse" give no results. Sebastian Barker has a source for Hilary Davies, and "Sebastian barker" "Hilary Davies" gives many other sources. PrimeHunter (talk) 21:37, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

Are you referring to Misplaced Pages talk:Articles for creation/Felipe Browne? If so, you will need to click on the 'Submit your draft...' button for it to be reviewed. Before you do that though, I suggest that you do more work on it. Specifically, you need to provide citations from third-party published reliable sources that Browne meets the relevant Misplaced Pages notability guidelines - without such evidence the article is sure to be rejected. Thanks,

Unless you are trying to create a navigation sidebar, you probably want {{infobox}} rather than {{sidebar}}. Specific infoboxes for particular types of article can be found at Category:Infobox templates. In each case the template page will tell you what parameters it will accept, and with what values and syntax. Before you go to far with trying to create an article on an organisation for which you work, please read the guidance on conflict of interest. --David Biddulph (talk) 14:48, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
One trivial error was that you had forgotten the terminating }} at the end of your use of the template, and I have corrected that for you, but all the advice above remains. Glancing at your draft, even forgetting about the WP:COI concerns, there is much that you need to read, particularly about verifiability by references to published reliable sources independent of the subject of the article. I've put a few links on your user talk page, and you definitely need to read WP:Your first article. --David Biddulph (talk) 14:58, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

    Edit Heading

hello. i need assistance regarding the search name of our company, we just recently changed our name from Capitol University Medical City to Capitol University Medical Center, can you please change it to the latest name so that center will appear instead, thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joeycdo (talkcontribs) 14:39, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

One of the refs in the article gives the old name and the remaining two are deadlinks. The Capitol University website does not find results under either name, despite the site being listed in external links as if it were the official site. I doubt that any conscientious editor would be willing to fulfill your request while there are no sources confirming the information. I recommend you concentrate on providing reliable sources for the article first. As it stands, it is in danger of being nominated for deletion as the only source is merely proof of existence. Why do you allow certain brands to have a link to their website for ease of navigation

    Hello,

I recently added a few links to retailers of the exact topics you were talking about, but they were deleted. Why, they were placed below other retailer, and I noted them to be retailers with a link to that appropriate page. Who and why is it decided that my retail links are not worthy of an open source platform, but others are?

Thank you for your time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Finejewelersgo (talkcontribs) 19:43, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

    Las Vegas Strip

    Sir or Madam,

Under the sub-heading Las Vegas Strip you have reported two entertainers who, upon their deaths, had the lights on the Strip dimmed as a show of respect for these two entertainers. They were Dean Martin in 1995, and Frank Sinatra in 1998. However, you neglected to include the FIRST entertainer to have this sign of respect accorded to him. That entertainer was Sammy Davis, Jr., and it was done in 1990. I remember it vividly because I was living here in Vegas at the time and the newspapers reported that this had never been done before. I can't understand how he was omitted from this particular Misplaced Pages reference, especially since he was the FIRST ONE. Please make the correction of this oversight.

When did we loose citation options?

Hi... I'm looking through the last few tech newsletters on my talk page, and I can't find when we lost Citations in the editing interface. The option was up above the editing area, with Advanced, Special characters, Help. It was so easy to just fill in the fields and hit submit, and have the template filled for me, not have to search for the template.

Is there any plug-in to add this back into MediaWiki? -- Zanimum (talk) 22:50, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

It's still there for me but in the past I have also experienced losing it temporarily when others had it. What is your browser? Try to clear your entire cache. PrimeHunter (talk) 23:12, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

    Aurora NY

Someone (Greeneyedsallie) is putting false information on the Misplaced Pages page for Aurora New York. The person is claiming that there is a public walking path along the lake. That is not true. The property is all privately owned except for several village rights of way that go to the lake. We own a portion of the lake front and it is not a walking path. I keep editing the false information. My edits can easily be proved by going to the Cayuga County Real Property page and looking at the tax maps, town maps, village maps. This person is trying to cause trouble.

How can we stop them? Thank you, Laura Holland — Preceding unsigned comment added by Laholland (talkcontribs) 23:05, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

Collecting diffs at a user page

Hi, I like editing Misplaced Pages articles, and thus far have tried to avoid starting cases or complaints against other editors, because it usually just detracts from editing articles. However, I have encountered a particular editor who I may need to start a case about, perhaps an RFC/U or something like that. I will need to collect diffs, over an extended period of time, and my question is: can or should I use one of my user pages for that?Anythingyouwant (talk) 00:12, 18 April 2014 (UTC)

Thanks you two, for pointing me in the right direction. It says: "The compilation of factual evidence (diffs) in user subpages, for purposes such as preparing for a dispute resolution process, is permitted provided it will be used in a timely manner." Since I'm not sure how timely this will be, it would appear wise to save the diffs offline. That's a bit more inconvenient, but I can do it. Cheers.Anythingyouwant (talk) 00:44, 18 April 2014 (UTC)

A very small selection of Misplaced Pages articles have spoken recordings available, which can be viewed at Misplaced Pages:Spoken articles. For the great majority of articles that don't have spoken versions, I recommend copying-and-pasting whatever content you want read to you into an online text-to-voice translator.
