He is represented by Galerie Chez Valentin in Paris and Sean Kelly Gallery in New York.
Laurent Grasso’s work has been exhibited extensively worldwide, particularly in Europe and the United States, notably in solo exhibitions at the Hirshhorn Museum and the Sculpture Garden (Washington D.C., USA, 2011), the Kunstverein Arnsberg (Arnsberg, Germany, 2009), the Centre Georges Pompidou (Paris, France, 2009), the Palais de Tokyo (Paris, France, 2009) and the Saint Louis Art Museum (Saint Louis, MO, USA, 2010).
Grasso’s work has also been included in many international biennales including Manifesta 8 (Cartagena / Murcia, Spain, 2010), Sharjah (United Arab Emirates, 2009), Moscow (Russia, 2009) and Busan (Korea, 2004 and 2006).
Grasso was awarded the Marcel Duchamp Prize in 2008 and is the subject of a major monograph – Laurent Grasso: The Black-Body Radiation – published by les presses du réel. Three other solo catalogues based on his work have also been published.
Additonally, Grasso has created several installations in the public space. His neon project,Infinite Light, was installed in 2008 on the exterior of the Hunter College Lexington Avenue pedestrian walkway in New York. The following year, the artist designed, Nomiya, an architectural project which was situated on the rooftop of the Palais de Tokyo in Paris from 2009 – 2011.This project, which combined sculpture and functionality, created an international attraction out of a glass cube. In 2010, his neon Memories of the Future was acquired by the Leeum Samsung Museum in Seoul, Korea. Forthcoming are solo exhibitions at the Bass Museum of Art (Miami Beach, FL, USA) and the Galerie nationale du Jeu de Paume, Paris in 2012 as well as a solo exhibition at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, Canada in 2013.
