Thanks for the edit. You are actually the second person to find it excessive. The first guy didn´t like it at all. And I agree that it is better the way it is now. Hurray for discussion and consensus.

JetBlue BOS-EWR
Can you please watch this as IPs continue to add this service even though JetBlue has not announced a firm start date yet? I have put a hidden note to it also. Thanks! Snoozlepet (talk) 02:42, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Climate stations
Regarding this edit:
When I put up articles for "Good article" status, reviewers want climate data, even if there isn't necessarily a climate station within the city limits. However the guy didn't appropriately cite the source for the Redondo data. WhisperToMe (talk) 02:39, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
- Maybe it is something to bring up with WikiProject Cities. Maybe they can determine whether it is still appropriate to post climate data even if the weather stations are not exactly in the city areas.

United merger and Co Mike HQ
Hey! With the United merger happening, it may be possible that Co Mike is absorbed into United (as in there will be no separate airline based in Guam). When you fly into Guam next time (hopefully it will be before air certificates will be merged), it is of an utmost priority to photograph the old Guam terminal (especially if it still has Continental Micronesia markings) WhisperToMe (talk) 06:07, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Hey sorry about the breaking format, I was trying to make it so one city name wasn't on two different lines completely forgetting about screen width and didn't realize it was against format standards. OAK: Southwest/AirTran
Good day. While I have no argument towards the edit you made of (removing) 71.132.215.82's info, I feel that the announced service possibilities are very important to OAK, through the acquisition. Therefore, instead of copying and pasting the entire article, I (1) used my own wording; (2) included the link for the service talk; (3) listed the main destinations of talk, including their significance briefly. Looking back, perhaps it could be shortened further, but I am trying to figure out how. I am, of course, open to your suggestions, but figure that we could also bring it up on the discussion page. Fair? Also, would it be best to wait until this possible service to eastern cities becomes reality, before including in the article, rather than express optimism? Thank you for any feedback that you can provide.Min1Phoeb2 (talk) 12:34, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
Delta BOS-LHR and MIA-LHR
I don't know if we should include these routes on the pages. Delta announced them...yes but the flights aren't bookable nor do they appear in scheds. A user insists on adding LHR to Delta on Miami International Airport but i keep removing it saying that Delta hasn't receive the OK to fly that route yet nor it is not bookable yet. HELP!!! Yhanks! Continental Micronesia photo request has been fulfilled
Hi! I have some great news! A Japanese Wikipedian fulfilled the photo request: File:Guam International Airport Old Terminal Building1.JPG - Now we have the old terminal building, the Co Mike HQ! WhisperToMe (talk) 16:26, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
GIAA building
Okay this source says the building is at 355 Chalan Pasaheru, Route 10A, Tamuning, Guam 96931
Where is the GIAA building? Would it be on the airport property? WhisperToMe (talk) 16:38, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
- The main terminal building is in Barrigada. I don't know if they get mail delivery, but 96931 is a POB ZIP code (Tamuning PO). Chalan Pasaheru is Route 10A. HkCaGu (talk) 17:29, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you! I added the Guam Airport Authority (in the main terminal building) to the Government section of the Barrigada page. WhisperToMe (talk) 22:25, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

Guam Police
http://gpd.guam.gov/ContactUs/tabid/2260/Default.aspx says that the Guam PD is based at "233 Central Avenue Tiyan, Guam 96912" Is this in Barrigada?
Also the guy who photographed the Co Mike HQ also got a photo of Guam Premier Outlets, so I added the photo to that article. I then made a request for an article about Guam Premier Outlets on the Japanese Misplaced Pages so the Japanese will have an article about it too. WhisperToMe (talk) 20:18, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
- Yes it is definitely in Barrigada--almost near the SW end of the runway, on the north side above the cliff, near 13.48 N 144.78 E. What Google Maps labeled "N Street" is actually Central Avenue (which parallels Sunset). All the trapezoidal side streets are the lettered streets. HkCaGu (talk) 20:32, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you! The same guy also took a photo of the Guam Police Department Building, but he thought it was in Tamuning. I recategorized the commons pics to Barrigada. WhisperToMe (talk) 20:45, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
Guam correctional facilities
I have some more questions:
- 1. Guam Department of Youth Affairs has its HQ at #169 San Isidro St. Mangilao Guam 96923. Is this the same location or a different location than Guam Youth Correctional Facility (indicated on this map)
- 2. Is the Guam Department of Corrections headquartered on the Main Adult Correctional Facility site? I notice that this document says "ROUTE 15 IN FRONT OF DOC(MANGILAO)" - Is the DOC based on that one property?
- 3. Are the adult and youth correctional facilities on the same property? This map indicates them as two separate points, but I only see one distinct prison property on Google Maps Aerial View.
WhisperToMe (talk) 22:37, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
- DYA is likely at the same place as the youth facility. You can look up the Census maps to see if you can find the street names.
- DOC has the main adult prison in Mangilao and a detention site in Hagatna. I don't know where their HQ is. Route 15 in front of DOC is pretty much the main prison.
- Quite often it's on the news that someone escapes from DYA. A lot less often is the news that someone escapes from DOC, which often lead the media going into "breaking news" mode. So I'm pretty sure they're separate, especially if PDN puts two dots. HkCaGu (talk) 00:56, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
- Based on this map San Isidro Street is in Mangilao, off of Dairy Road. It matches with Guam PDN's dot for the youth facility, so they are probably in the same place.
- The adult facility is in barely in Mangilao, and west of San Isidro. I believe it's separate.
- Now I'm going to post photo requests for the adult and youth facilities.
- Thank you,

Business
Hmmm..
the source at the business news says: "It also has expanded its presence in Asia and the Pacific. Continental Micronesia's routes to eight Japanese cities today make up 70 percent of its business." and "Thirty percent of the airline's business comes from its 4,300-mile island-hopper route, which begins in Honolulu, makes five stops and ends -- 14 hours and 10 minutes later -- in Hagatna, Guam's capital city." - But you are right in that it's leaving out Hong Kong, Bali, Manila, etc.
I suppose I could e-mail the journalist and point out that there are still other routes to be accounted for in the percentage? WhisperToMe (talk) 17:26, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
- I just sent an e-mail to them (the same message once to their e-mail address, and once in a form letter). Hopefully they will get it, respond, and make corrections if necessary. WhisperToMe (talk) 17:31, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
- I don't think anyone will correct an old article or bother redoing their research. The article is simply not a reliable source for the "percentage" figures. Everything else can be quoted accordingly. BTW, The "Hagatna, Guam's capital city" phrase in the "ref" section is probably overused. HkCaGu (talk) 18:09, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

Old Air Micronesia HQ in Saipan
Would you where I would find the information stating exactly where the old Air Micronesia HQ in Saipan was? Hello Cagu, I know that my English is imperfect, so I perfectly agree to see my wording corrected, reworder, etc. And ok, a next landfall, while expectable, is not certain. But Megi is, it's already facts, 1. going northward , 2. now expected to affect Fujian and Taiwan. So please restore this reliable content. That's a matter of 1 mins for a native English speaker. That will, indeed, be helpful. Yug (talk) 04:06, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

- Chamorro Land Trust Commission
- Guam Ancestral Lands Commission
Should they be listed with the other Guam agencies? Or should they be listed separately? WhisperToMe (talk) 11:42, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

SNA
I'm not going to change it further, but just FYI:
- The city is Santa Ana (hence the airport code of SNA); the 9th largest in California
- This city is located in Orange County
- Orange is one of the 58 counties in the state of California
Whatever the listing in the table, Orange is a whole county, not a city from any angle. Santa Ana is the largest city and county seat of Orange. jasepl (talk) 05:14, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
- Everyone markets SNA as Orange County. Orange County is akin to Los Angeles (as in Santa Ana akin to Westchester). People say "flying to Orange County", "Orange County Airport" and never "Santa Ana Airport" or "Santa Ana's Airport"--unlike how they address BUR, ONT, or LGB. Airports in Madrid
In addition to the Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD / LEMD), Madrid has three other airports open to civilian traffic: the Madrid-Torrejón Airport (TOJ / LETO), the Madrid-Cuatro Vientos Airport (MCV / LECU) and Getafe Air Base (LEGT).
- Madrid-Torrejón is an Air Base open to civilian traffic (as well as other airports in Spain like Murcia-San Javier, Salamanca, León, Valladolid, and Badajoz). It is open to civilian small-sized aircraft, primarily those that can not operate in Madrid-Barajas. Severeal years ago, when Madrid-Barajas was full of capacity, it had regular passenger flights by Air Truck/Navarra and AIRCAT, but the extension of Madrid-Barajas, poor facilities at Madrid-Torrejón and bad communications in TOJ caused the closure of the scheduled passenger lines, though the airport is still entitled to receive scheduled passenger flights.
- Madrid-Cuatro Vientos airport is the oldest in Madrid. Due to the small size of the track and its location within the city it has severe operational restrictions (being open only during daylight hours) and also, it is poorly served by public transport to the city, so is unattractive to airlines. However, is still entitled to receive scheduled passenger flights and is the only airport in Madrid opened to helicopter flights.
- Getafe Air Base is only open to civilian cargo flights, mostly directed to the aeronautical industrial zone next to it (mainly cargo flights for Airbus, Airbus Military, CESA and Raytheon).
Bye!. Felipealvarez (talk) 09:10, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
- I must have expressed myselff wrong. By Civilian I meant scheduled commercial passenger flights. Noticet that all four Madrid Airports have strong military & state (non-scheduled by its nature) presence, hence the reason why I had said that they were civilians. Airport destination listing
Another set of topics:
- "Serves" field in the airport inbobox can be wrong, as you have said for Orio al Serio Airport wich server Bergamo and not Milano.
- Wikiproject conventions don't have to be followed by everyone, as no one has the obligation to join any wikiproject. I don't care about your conventions if they are against common sense and veracity.
- Airlines really fly to Airports and not to the City Downtown. If the Airport has a different common name that should be expressed. I've seen quite examples as East Midland instead of Nottigham/Derby; Tenerife South instead of Granadilla de Abona. Madrid has four airports, one of them placed at Barajas town wich is the only one with scheduled passenger operations as whose name is Madrid-Barajas. Beauvais airport is placed at Tillé (not at Beauvais), hence the name Beauvais-Tillé, there is only one airport but with a complex name.
- There is quite totally erroneous destination listed as Arrecife or Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, confusing them with Lanzarote and Gran Canaria, wich are the real destination served.
- I've tried to presume good faith, but the only thing that I see is that a small group of wikiusers have usurped the property of some articles regarding airports, in which they insist in including absurd things and they show that have little knowledge of European geography.

- As my roommate, who is taking a Wiki-break, used to say. Delta is boasting to overstate their dominance. If a carrier is distorting facts to boost their appeal (for marketing purposes) as it the case for CDG (and perhaps AMS), I think there is a serious problem. As for CVG, it should be downgraded to a Delta Connection hub because of the loss of the lions share of mainline service and complete loss of a widebody crewbase. --Inetpuppy (talk) 05:38, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks Inetpuppy; it may be that in a Delta news article AMS and CDG are refered to as "hubs", but this does not make them DL Hubs by law and definition. Speed74 (talk) 17:54, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

SeaTac
Hey just wondering...you have Horizon Air at SeaTac going SEA-STS-LAX. Same plane and flight number. But that American also goes SEA-DFW-IAD. So why does it not count? ZHoover123 13:33, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
- ZHoover, see WP:AIRPORTS. The reason LAX is listed since STS is not a hub or focus city for Horizon Air. IAD for American is not listed because the flight makes a stop at an AA hub (which is DFW) and DFW happens to be AA's largest hub. So no thru-hub direct flights are to be listed. Snoozlepet (talk) 00:47, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
- I see...thanks! ZHoover123 01:52, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks Snoozlepet. The reasoning of Wikiproject criteria is whether the airline is really flying direct or just playing with flight numbers. STS is so small, what comes in must go out and it either continues or returns. But when an AA flight flies into DFW, you can't guarantee what they'll do to the plane. The fact that there's no return IAD-DFW-SEA makes the case stronger. HkCaGu (talk) 01:56, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

- The first section of an article is for the most basic information about the subject. The list of Chinese unrests is not appropriate in this section.
- You should also watch your grammar and spelling so you don't have a bunch of capital letters for non-proper names.
- Beside grammar, you should also be observant of style and understand what an encylopedia article should look like. All the formats and templates have a reason and are based on consensus formed by previous editors.
- I and many editors who watch pages are busy and real life, so it is not a good idea to perform something then forces others to rescue your work. Sorry to say I found it more beneficial to the overall article and to my limitation to simply revert what you did. HkCaGu (talk) 10:11, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
The same content is written on Chinese Misplaced Pages:
"…從而避過太平天國、民國軍閥、國共內戰、反右運動、大躍進和文化大革命等亂局…較為優越的發展機會。"zh:香港
This is important, because it shows the main reason why Hong Kong is now more developed than other places in mainland China.
Where are the problems with capital letters? I used them for proper names, like Cultural Revolution and Taiping Rebellion
In my opinion, adding more useful and important content is actually beneficial to the article

edit warring of Article Key Lime Air
HkCaGu,
You seem persistant to weed through Articles on aviation deleting all factual negative content. I question that maybe you are paid by these airlines to keep them clean looking in the public eye. If so, think about the 50+ people that died on Colgan Air flight 3407.
My contributions to Airline Articles are not any different than those in other wikipedia articles. I merely added content to other content in Key Lime Air that existed as far back as 2007. Is it fair that all content only be positive content. The content I added is true, verifiable and is the publics right to know. Especially since the Article company provides services to the public that effect life.
If you'll look at Article Gulfstream_International_Airlines, there is very similiar content. You also make countless efforts to clean out all factual data that is negative. This is not in the best interetst of the public to hide factual saftey related content from the public.
The public comes to Misplaced Pages to learn about something. To hide all the facts is not right. Although my contributions to Key Lime Air may be negative, they are factual and verifiable. But if you look deeper, not all my contributions are negative.
If you have a better idea in which the same information can be better presented that would include the information the public is entitled to know, I am open to dicussion.

Why did you delete most of the information about the Mariupol airport? I know about it and I took really long time looking and translating. Please do not edit again, as it's on of those pages that are usually empty. I expanded, there is nothing to delete.
Regards Gleb
- You need to understand the basic rules of Misplaced Pages. You do not own the articles, and thus cannot require someone to discuss with you before changing stuff. Next, you must write in neutral language without peacock terms. Materials must also be notable, thus airports having accessible and VIP facilities is not out of the ordinary. Airport and airline articles are also governed by Wikiprojects such as WP:AIRPORT and WP:AIRLINE, and styles (such as date format) are governed by a Manual of Style. You should also sign when you edit talk pages. HkCaGu (talk) 05:37, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
Sorry about this misunderstanding, I am new to contribution here at wiki. I just wanted to expand the article since it was almost empty. Mariupol is on of the cities I admire, I've been/lived there. I thought it would be a little honor if I add some info about it. Thanks for the help, and the edits. It's just that you removed to much. I worked on researching the airport all night, which is not an easy job; and seeing it go like this got me really disappointed.
Once again sorry for misunderstanding, and thanks for your help on editing :)

fat
if you have further data you are welcomed to add it.please do not continue to edit war...the info is properly cited. --emerson7 21:42, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
- No it is not. It just says the route is approved, not that Aeromexico has announced to start it on that date. We have standards at WP:AIRPORT on what's needed for a new route to be listed, and the airline not adding flights to its schedules and booking system is enough to prevent GDL-FAT from being listed. And on top of that, having Airmario3's own blog, given his edit history, as a source is absolutely disgusting, and restoring that part amounts to vandalism. HkCaGu (talk) 21:54, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
- i could perhaps support your action if would cite the exact wp:airport standard for listing the destination, however, calling it vandalism is at best an hysterical overstatement, particularly since it is backed by the fresno bee article. --emerson7 22:14, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
Southwest Airlines @ BWI
Can you watch this page for a while? Someone continues to add "Southwest Airlines" to the hub parameter for the infobox as they DO NOT use a hub-and-spoke system. Thanks! Snoozlepet (talk) 23:03, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
Airlines of Mexico
Hello, I'm Julian Cervantes. I edit alot of airline pages too. I wanted to see if you know any airlines of Mexico. If you know Volaris, Aeromexico, or Interjet, those are examples of the airlines of Mexico. I flown Volaris to Mexico from Tijuana to Morelia. I just wanted to see if you know about the airlines of Mexico. (7:55AM USA time User talk:Airmario3) By the way, I kinda cause vandalism a little beacause I love commercial aviation very much. —Preceding undated comment added 15:56, 12 March 2011 (UTC).
Iberia destinations
You are engaged in this article much longer than me. Perhaps it needs protection. I can request protection. The article on es-wiki was also vandalised. I used this site for verification. Info about 44 countries from the lead is wrong (according to the lead on es-wiki 46 countries, but 49 are mentioned in the article. What do you want to do with this article? It still has some errors (according to this site). Leszek Jańczuk (talk) 19:08, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry it's beyond my personal time resources to research on contents in this article, but the site you quoted should be pretty good and accurate. Number of countries isn't an easy answer, since you have a lot of dependencies close to and/or far away from their sovereign countries. HkCaGu (talk) 19:37, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
President Hu
Thanks for your response. I didn't want to further the discussion on the article's talk page, so I figured I'd ask you here. Could you explain to me how the Chinese to English translation results in numbers becoming a part of the English translation? Thanks again. Joefromrandb (talk) 16:46, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
- Cantonese has too many tones for diacritic marks to be conveniently understood, so tone numbers are used instead. See the jyutping article for details. HkCaGu (talk) 17:10, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks!! Joefromrandb (talk) 19:13, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
Tijuana to RJAA
Nowhere in WP:AIRPORTS does it say that the standard is outbound only. Unless you prove me wrong, Tijuana should be listed, with a note mentioning one way service. Thenoflyzone (talk) 17:16, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
- There have been countless cases enforced that way. By the very definition of "destination", it is where you can go, not where you can come from. HkCaGu (talk) 17:33, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Thank you
