You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

For the guideline on reviewing, see Misplaced Pages:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles 05:12, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Huggle

When are you going to use Huggle again? WAYNEOLAJUWON 23:01, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

My main computer's in the shop. I'll go back to it once it's working again. Logan (talk) 23:10, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Why can't you use it on your other computer? WAYNEOLAJUWON 23:13, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Well, this computer is a Mac, and it doesn't work natively on Macs. I tried Wine, but it's not seamless. Logan (talk) 23:14, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
You could also try Igloo in the meantime if you want. WAYNEOLAJUWON 23:18, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
I think that I'll just wait until my computer is fixed. It's not that necessary. Logan (talk) 23:39, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Okay. WAYNEOLAJUWON 23:40, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Dabfix

I am not familiar with dabfix. This edit introduced several long descriptions and some complete sentences (instead of fragments), and was marked as minor. I've cleaned up the page, but I would be interested to know what the tool does automatically and what you have to do manually with it. Thanks! -- JHunterJ (talk) 00:51, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

Keep An Eye :)

Hey Logan,

I've hit 3RR on User:Dawson/Images, mind keeping a eye on it? Thanks -- Rich (MTCD) 19:01, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Well, 3RR doesn't really apply to reverting vandalism, especially when the user is reported at AIV. However, I'll keep reverting for you. ;) Logan (talk) 19:02, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Andrew JC Jackson

Hi Logan, I've declined your A7 nomination for the above page because his notability has been claimed as a Goodwill games gold medalist. Regards, Airplaneman 00:34, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Understood. Not a lot of context in the article, though. Logan Talk 00:35, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Yes, it was borderline; PROD or AfD are options. I am considering PROD-ing it myself but can't come up with a rationale that I'm satisfied with. Airplaneman 05:01, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Rollback

Regarding this diff, please don't revert it if the original author blanks the page. Instead, tag it under CSD G7. --Addihockey10 04:16, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

The page was already up for speedy deletion under A10. It doesn't matter if the original writer blanked it. Logan Talk 04:19, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Yes, but the point is you warned him for his Good Faith version of "deleting" it himself. You could tag it for A10 again as well, but in general when an author blanks it just tag it under G7. --Addihockey10 04:22, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
I can't look back at the history right now, but you might be right. I wasn't sure if substantial content was added in between the first edit and the blanking, and thus I only reverted it. Huggle would've told me if he/she was the only editor on the page for most cases. Logan Talk 04:24, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Just FYI, when I used to use Huggle, if a page was blanked and ClueBot didn't revert it; there's a large chance it was the author that blanked it. Always double-check though. Happy editing! --Addihockey10 04:27, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Will do. Same to you. Logan Talk 04:28, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for your welcome

Thank you for you kind welcome and noticing my updates. I am glad to be here, and worked very hard learning the wiki coding, and researching to update the topic, so your comments meant a lot. Hope you have a great day! (Freejohngotti (talk) 18:11, 28 November 2010 (UTC))

I'm glad that you will be editing Misplaced Pages. We always need kind editors like you in the project. Happy editing! Logan Talk 18:14, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Maths rating

When you add the "maths rating" tag to a talk page, please take the time to fill in all three of the assessment parameters, as the template documentation explains. We already have a list of mathematics articles that is updated by a bot and does not require any talk page tags. So there is no benefit in adding the talk page tag if you do not fill in the rating information. If you don't feel comfortable adding the rating information, that's OK; you can leave off the talk page tag entirely, and the math project will still be aware of the article. — Carl (CBM · talk) 17:48, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Halfback (Amercian football)

Hello Logan. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Halfback (Amercian football), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: 2006 is not recently created. Thank you. Courcelles 21:40, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Here's my diff. Logan Talk 20:53, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the work you're doing

Especially on the hospital disambiguation pages. May I ask that you tag any hospital articles or dab pages with {{WikiProject Hospitals}}? You seem pretty knowledgable about the subject, perhaps you would be interested in joining the project? Ng.j (talk) 02:43, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

If you are interested in contributing more to articles about hospitals you may want to join WikiProject Hospitals (signup here).

Help

Perhaps you could help me then. I reposted somethin I had said on the hollows talk page to user:TheFarix's talk page. It was meant to be between me and him but he keeps moving it to the hollows page. I have asked him to stop but he will not. Can you tell him to?--God (Pray) 03:47, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

First of all, please do not make legal threats against other editors. It does not help the situation. Secondly, all TheFarix did was link to a discussion on his talk page. He did not attribute the comments to himself. There is nothing in the policy that prevents those actions, nor is it considered inappropriate for Misplaced Pages. He is already preparing a WP:ANI report against you, so you'd better apologize quickly if you do not want this situation to get any worser. Logan Talk 03:50, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
Way to dig his own grave.Farix (t | c) 03:57, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
Can't say that I don't agree. Logan Talk 03:58, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
Yes, you committed libel. You used my words in a way I did not intend. There is nothing against wikipedia policy that says I am not allowed to sue a user for libel--God (Pray) 04:00, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
