Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Pokémon

The list of participants of the Pokémon WikiProject is quite sizable, however, there is no way to determine which of whom are active contributors to that project. All participants in the list have been moved to Inactive. If you consider yourself to be an active member of the Pokémon WikiProject, please go to Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Pokémon#Participants and move your username to the Active section. Thank you. Image copyright problem with Image:PlaneShift DR.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:PlaneShift DR.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Misplaced Pages's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

WP:RUSSIA roll call and your input required

Privet. You are receiving this message as you were listed on the membership list of WP:RUSSIA at Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Russia/Members. Recent times has seen minimal activity within WikiProject Russia, and there is an attempt to re-invigorate the project and have it become more organised into a fully-fledge functioning project, with the aim of increasing the quality of Russia-related articles across English wikipedia.

As we don't know which listed members are active within the project and Russia-related article, all listed members are receiving this message, and are requested to re-affirm their active status on Russia-related article by re-adding their username to Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Russia/Members by adding:

# {{User|YOURUSERNAME}}

to the membership list. You may also like to place {{User Russian Project}} on your userpage, as this will also place you in Category:WikiProject Russia members.

There is also an active proposal on the creation of a single WP:RUSSIA project. The proposal can be viewed at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Russia#Proposal_for_overhaul_and_creation_of_a_single_WP:RUSSIA_project, and your comments and suggestions are welcomed and encouraged at Misplaced Pages talk:WikiProject Russia/Proposal.

We all look forward to your continued support of WP:RUSSIA and any comments you may have on the proposal. --Russavia 04:31, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

recent edit deleted

Hi,

How are you?

You deleted my edit to add "Gilded Books" to the "book rental services" page. I believed since the site is a legitimate site and in that field, the edit would be allowed. How could I submit this site to the page? It is exactly like the other sites listed on this page.

Thanks,

Why?

Sorry to react over something so minor, but why was that bit of info on List of Pokemon (221-240) deleted? It's not trivial, it's the first time the character appeared, and it appeared before its debut game. At least let me put debut notes on Pokemon unveiled that are of future generations. :( about 1st reverted contrib, 2J Bäkkvire Maestro favorite haunts 14:35, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

Anime and movie information is added all the time. If you want a reference, I can throw one on there. Blake 21:38, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

Avatar (2009 film) -- worldwide gross does not necessarily equate to highest-grossing domestically

Hello, SpigotMap. Regarding this edit you made to the Avatar (2009 film) article, I just wanted to let you know that worldwide gross does not necessarily cover domestic gross (not in the way that you meant). For example, Avatar beat Titanic's worldwide gross before it beat its domestic gross. Another example would be if The Dark Knight had beat Titanic's domestic gross, as it was predicted to do back then; if it had, Titanic would remain the highest-grossing film of all time worldwide (of course) but would no longer be the highest-grossing film of all time domestically. Anyway, this is why I reverted you on this matter.

Take care. Flyer22 (talk) 23:42, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the explanation. I see your point and agree. SpigotMap 13:18, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

Reverting tagging of Barbarian with Category:Onomatopoeias

Dear SpigotMap. Please, look in the text Barbarian and you will find: The word is onomatopoeic, the bar-bar representing the impression of random hubbub produced by hearing a spoken language that one cannot understand, similar to blah blah and babble in modern English. So, I'm totally clueless about your reverting.Pmod (talk) 06:33, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

List of characters in Tron

This article has had content merged and so cannot be deleted per The GFDL. If you would like to discuss further merging and redirecting, please use the article's talk page to do so. Sincerely, --A Nobody 15:15, 8 March 2010 (UTC)

Pay no attention to A Nobody's bluster. It was he who created the article by copy/pasting, without attribution or linking to the original article histories, the contents of the articles that were the subjects of these deletion discussions; so it's actually he who has clearly violated the licensing terms of the GFDL. Of course, now that he's removed your prod, you'll have to take the matter to AfD if you still want the article deleted (and if you think there's a chance that the consensus of the previous discussions will now be rejected in favor of deleting the article and the redirects). Deor (talk) 18:23, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
Ignore Deor as that account does not seem to have any real knowledge of GFDL and the like, but rather just has it out for me and so tends to make up whatever so as to antagonize me. Best, --A Nobody 21:23, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
Perhaps if you didn't constantly do shifty things, A Nobody, people wouldn't feel the need to criticize your actions. Your merges seldom have a content or navigational purposes; your goal is simply to to create attribution dependencies because you want to confound our deletion processes. This is gaming the system and is borderline disruptive. But you know this, because you've been doing it off and on for quite some time and it was one of the many things brought up at the RFC that you want to sweep under the carpet. Reyk YO! 09:55, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
You can similarly safely and wisely ignore partisan and disruptive accounts that are merely trying to "fly the Deletionist flag over at AfD" rather than make open-minded and constructive contributions to the project. Best, --A Nobody 16:00, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
