Successful featured picture nomination
Congrats Mbz. Did you actually take these pictures or photoshop them together? I've looked for the green flash a number of times but have never been lucky enough to see it. NickCT (talk) 21:25, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. I took all the images myself.--Mbz1 (talk) 22:07, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hmmm... Well... Not sure about you're abilities to view wiki article w/ NPOV, but after looking at some of the pictures above, I stand in great respect of you photographic abilities. Tell me, are the majority of pictures above taken with the same camera? Digital? Kind? NickCT (talk) 22:16, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
- I see your tactic, you want me to spend my time here talking about images rather than to edit I/P conflict articles :) Oh well... Okay, about cameras. Most pictures were taken with Canon XTI, one with underwater Sony, and few with underwater Olympus. Most images has the info about camera in the section that calls Metadata. It is at the very bottom of the image page. I hope you see it now?--Mbz1 (talk) 22:27, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
- Neat. I only ask because I just shelled out for a Nikon D300s for my girlfriend, and I'm curious whether I should be expecting pictures of the same quality! Re my tactic; Hey, if I'm here I can't edit I/P articles either ;-) I do see the metadata now. Thanks NickCT (talk) 00:01, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

Valued images
Hi Mbz1, sorry to see your image File:Fisherman at Lake Merced.jpg not promoted as FP... I much value it and would like to encourage you to nominate it as a valued picture if you wish. I remarked some other images of yours which I believe are highly educational and as such suitable for VP, such as this, or this. Elekhh (talk) 05:40, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you, Elekhh. It is very nice of you! That soap bubble image was #14 in POTY competition in 2008, it is FP on few Wikipedias, and on Commons of course, but it did not get FP status on English wikipedia :( Do you know, if I could nominate a video to get valued image status? I'd like to nominate that one: . It is really valuable one-of-a-kind video of a charging Komodo Dragon that we filmed in a wild at Komodo Island. Best wishes.--Mbz1 (talk) 05:57, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
