Georgios Paleologos (Greek: Γεώργιος Παλαιολόγος) was a Byzantine Empire military commander who was active during the Battle of Dyrrhachium (1081).

Mavriotissa monastery was located at the place where in 1083 troops commanded by Paleologos encircled the Normans, and it is hypothesised that the emperor Alexis I built the church there to commemorate the event.
