Kenny McCormick, one of the characters from the animated series South Park, died in almost every episode in the first five seasons. After the episode "Kenny Dies" (#513) that changed. The entire episode was pretty much about Kenny's death - who eventually died of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy - and he then disappeared for almost an entire season.
After season 7, Kenny no longer dies in every episode, but only when the makers of South Park really think it adds something to the episode. Kenny's role has therefore become considerably less in the series. In some episodes after season 9, he is not even seen.
In the movie South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut, Kenny dies after his heart is transplanted and replaced by a potato. Kenny goes to hell and becomes a ghost. At the end of the movie, however, he is allowed to go to heaven. After the movie came out, and Kenny's return in "Red Sleigh Down", Kenny started getting more roles where he's seen without a parka, like in the movie. Then you see that he actually has blond, messy hair.

Stan's grandfather recorded this and wins the main prize of the competition. When Stan, Kyle and Cartman see this video, Stan and Kyle say: "Oh my god! They videotaped killing Kenny! You bastards!" |

| 208 - Summer Sucks | The big, burning Snake goes berserk and Kenny is nearly killed by it. Then the safety fence crushes him. In the flashback, Baby Kenny's head is blown off by a firecracker. |
| 209 - Chef's Chocolate Salty Balls | Kenny is crushed by a group of people leaving the theater. In this episode, Stan and Kyle don't say the famous lines, but two tourists do and the line is slightly modified. Tourist 1: Oh my god, I found a penny!! Tourist 2: You bastard!! |
| 210 - Chickenpox | At the end of the episode, he laughs along with everyone, but he dies from chicken pox. |
| 211 - Roger Ebert Should Lay off the Fatty Foods | Kenny's head explodes when Kyle and Stan turn up the intensity of the observatory demonstration to the max. |
| 212 - Clubhouses | During a party at Cartman's house, Kenny is crushed by partygoers. |
| 213 - Cow Days | The bull that Ming Lee aka Cartman is riding goes berserk. Kenny refuses to help, because he thinks he'll die. Later, the bull kills Kenny anyway. |

Comments
- In season 6, Kenny is not involved in the episodes because he is permanently dead for the entire season. However, this season focuses on Kenny's soul, which takes possession of Eric Cartman for a while after he accidentally drinks Kenny's ashes in the episode "A Ladder To Heaven". In the last episode of season 6, Kenny suddenly shows up again. Since then, he dies less often than in the first five seasons.
- In the episode "The Biggest Douche in the Universe", Rob Schneider eats a piece of meat that Kenny's soul is currently in. In the trailer for the movie Rob Schneider is Kenny you see Rob Schneider, dressed as Kenny, being impaled by a flagpole (just like in "Weight Gain 4000"). Kenny's soul dies, only in a different body.
- In seasons 10, 12 and from season 16 Kenny does not die, even though he plays in the series. In the episode Make Love, Not Warcraft Kenny's character dies in the game World of Warcraft, after which Stan and Kyle use their catchphrase even though Kenny is not actually dead.
- In total Kenny died 86 times (83 separate episodes + 3 times in the episode of The Coon)
