Anna Beecroft was born in Canada, March 15, 1865. Her parents were Alvary and Margaret Beecroft.
She married D. Leslie Briggs, and they had two children.
Early in her career, and for many years, she was an organist and choir leader.
Briggs wrote several plays. She won first prize in the Southern California Woman's Press Club contest for one act plays in 1927 and again in 1928. She also contributed essays, editorials, special articles and verse to several American journals, including Good Housekeeping, Progress Magazine, Canadian Magazine, and Mind.
Briggs was a member of Southern California Woman's Press Club, Versewriters Club, and Drama League.
A resident of California for many years years, she made her home in Los Angeles.
