Charie Hurley (born 4th October 1936) was a centre back, voted as Sunderland A.F.C.'s "Player of the Century" by their fans on the occasion of the club's centenary in 1979.

Signed from Millwall in 1957, Hurley added a touch of class to the Sunderland defence and was a world class representative of the Republic of Ireland. He ended his playing career at Bolton Wanderers and was later manager of Reading F.C.
