Help with HST / JWST comparison images
If still available - any Help appreciated - seems an editor "User:Yann" has changed, without "WP:CONSENSUS", aligned comparison images from "HST" and "JWST" - particularly, the aligned comparison images, "File:NASA-HubbleSpaceTelescope-DeepField-2017.jpg" with the equivalent "File:NASA-JWST-FirstDeepField-20220712.png" ) - to non-aligned image(s) instead (examples => "File:Main image deep field smacs0723.png" or "File:Webb's First Deep Field.jpg" ) - for related details, please see talk at => https://commons.wikimedia.org/User_talk:Drbogdan#Webb's_First_Deep_Field - and => https://en.wikipedia.org/User_talk:Drbogdan#Comparison_of_images
Articles of concern include:
1. https://en.wikipedia.org/James_Webb_Space_Telescope#Scientific_results - and →

hope this can be sorted out -
Thanks in advance for your help with this - Stay Safe and Healthy !! - Drbogdan (talk) 14:20, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
- Drbogdan, this appears to be a weirdly pedantic JPG vs. PNG issue, when I doubt either is the original format (which is normally FITS or similar). But, in my experience, this isn't something worth pushing back on. I would recommend just cropping down a JPG version of the "correct" JWST image to a new filename (don't overwrite) and using that. — Huntster (t @ c) 15:40, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Huntster: Thanks for your reply - it's appreciated - yes - aware of related FITS, TIFF and JPG images - may end up doing this at some opportunity - Thanks again for your comments - they're *greatly* appreciated - Stay Safe and Healthy !! - Drbogdan (talk) 15:59, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
- I've switched out the previous image for the new adjusted JPG: File:Webb's First Deep Field (adjusted).jpg. — Huntster (t @ c) 07:26, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, I also think that creating a cropped version of the JPEG file is the best solution. Thanks, Yann (talk) 21:45, 23 July 2022 (UTC)

@Huntster and Yann: Yes - *entirely* agree - the newly created cropped JPG version ("File:Webb's First Deep Field (adjusted).jpg") seems an *excellent* solution to the concern(s) - no problem whatsoever - (Note: also noted as Done at => "Talk:James Webb Space Telescope#Help with HST / JWST comparison images") - in any case - Thank You *very much* for the effort - Stay Safe and Healthy !! - Drbogdan (talk) 12:04, 24 July 2022 (UTC)

Help with "CEERS-93316" image
Help if possible - "CEERS-93316" is the earliest galaxy candidate found so far (z=16.7) - Question: Is the related image ( presented at several websites, including "BBC News" at => https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-62311562 ) ok for the Misplaced Pages "CEERS-93316" article or not? - seems the "CEERS Collaboration" and the new "James Webb Space Telescope" are involved - and both may be related to "NASA" in some way - but unable to find a clear indication of image copyright conditions at the moment - in any case - Stay Safe and Healthy !! - Drbogdan (talk) 16:55, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
Trying to get WikiProject Amateur Radio back on the air!
Hi, I'm Dr vulpes and I'm currently doing my best to resurrect the amateur radio WikiProject. A lot of the articles need some serious work and so I'm trying to organize an article improvement drive in October. If you're interested check out the link to the drive and the project page. Right now everything is in the planning stages, trying to find people interested, articles to focus on, etc. So if you know anyone who would like to help out feel free to invite them! If you no longer interested in this project that's a-ok just remove yourself from the list on the project page and I'll never badger you again. 73! Dr vulpes 00:34, 15 September 2022 (UTC)
