A C-130H in 2004

The Royal Australian Air Force has operated a total of 48 C-130 Hercules transport aircraft.

Operational service

During the late 1990s one of the C-130Hs was fitted with extensive signals intelligence equipment under the classified "Project Peacemate". This aircraft was reported to still be active in the signals intelligence role in 2008.
