Live Action is a pro-life group operating in the United States founded by Lila Rose in 2004.
Live Action received national attention in February 2011 for their undercover videos it made of a Planned Parenthood employee, whom they claim offered counseling to a pimp regarding abortions and testing for his alleged underage sex workers.
Planned Parenthood also states that the actions by one of their employees was inexcusable, and fired the employee in question. Planned Parenthood contacted the FBI about the incident, apparently due to the secrecy and deception involved in obtaining the videos.
A Salon.com editorial supportive of Planned Parenthood's mission criticized a set of the group's 2011 videos, disparaging O'Keefe's influence by name and suggesting the videos were deceptively edited.
In 2010, another sting by Live Action on a Birmingham Planned Parenthood clinic led to a state investigation and the clinic being placed on probation by the Department of Health for what the state described as a "technical violation."
