Happy New Year!

The Chronic has given you a bottle of Cristal! Cristal costs $350, and hopefully this bottle has made your New Year's Day better. Spread the spirit of the New Year by giving a bottle of Cristal to someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Happy editing!
Give a bottle of Cristal to someone else by adding {{subst:User:The Hybrid/Finger}} to their talk page with a friendly... wait...

Re:Review

Sure. I hope in exchange you can help me out here (I know you want to be away, but I can use your help).--Truco 03:08, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

I respect that, but can the point for importance be added? Also, I gave the pre-review on the talk page.--Truco 03:32, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Oh okay, hopefully nothing important happened on that day, so it can have a good shot. What do you think, how many days should I wait before I nominate it for TFA? Like 4 days before? Now that you got the PW newsletter, what do you think of the new design?--TRUCO 14:18, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
He placed it on the pending list to get people aware that it will be nominated in the future, it will be nominated later. I actually got the design from the GAN newsletter.--TRUCO 14:33, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Editing tips

This is a section in the newsletter devoted to help familiarize project members with the Manual of Style and general editing tips.

  1. Do not link the title of an article in its lead section if the title is already in bold, per WP:LEDE.
  2. When expanding pay-per-view articles, avoid using wrestling jargon without an explanation, per WP:JARGON, maintain an out-of-universe perspective of the article, per WP:IN-U, and avoid writing in excess detail, per WP:PLOT. For further information see WP:PW/PPVG.
  3. Our project has a cleanup listing. Please help by adding sources or expanding any articles listed here.
  4. When the title of an refers to several things, it is necessary to provide links or disambiguate the page so that readers typing in that title can quickly navigate to the article that interests them. For example: World Heavyweight Championship (WWE).
  5. When editing an article, use the edit summary to provide a brief summary of your edits; this helps users understand what was changed in the article.

From the Judges

Wow, you guys are racking up the DYK's fast! Good articles are also coming in quite quickly, and we also have a few new Featured articles. This is coming along great so far; we're glad to see almost everyone working on something.

Also, Thehelpfulone is our newest judge. He will, starting Monday, be helping maintain the WikiCup and help us ensure all runs smoothly. It's hard to gain consensus between two editors, so I guess "majority rules" (with three people) will start to apply while we make our decision. :-P
