Any registered account is welcome to join the competition, and signups will close in December. The competition will start on January 1, 2012. There is a a userbox to help advertise the Cup to other potential contestants.
You must choose a flag to fly. You may choose the flag of any extant political entity (countries, counties, states, towns, principalities and so on) providing it is freely licensed. If you do not choose a flag, one will be randomly assigned by the judges at the beginning of the competition. You may choose a flag that has already been chosen by another participant or a new flag altogether. The judges reserve the right to remove any flag deemed inappropriate.
