The 2021 Tocantinense Aviation Disaster took place on January 24, 2021, when a Beechcraft Baron, with six people on board, crashed shortly after departing Palmas–Brigadeiro Lysias Rodrigues Airport, killing four Palmas Futebol e Regatas association football team members, the club's owner and the plane's pilot. The plane was en route to a fourth-tier football game between Palmas and Vila Nova, for the Brazilian Copa Verde championship.

People on board

The victims of the crash were identified as Marcus Molinari, football player, 23, and his teammates Guilherme Noe, Lucas Praxedes, and Ranule; along with team president Lucas Meira and a pilot, identified by the press only as Commander Wagner.
