Hazzard
Hazzard
Hi! I'm pretty new to Misplaced Pages. I created an article about a band called Hazzard. It received a speedy delete tag and was deleted by NawlinWiki, because I had failed to claim notability. I recreated the article, although perhaps I could have asked NawlinWiki to restore it. This time, I argued notability in the discussion page, and the notability should be apparent from the text as well.
Now I've noticed that it has been deleted once more. However, I don't recognize the first line of the article as I wrote it in the delete log. And I see that an article of the same name has been deleted before. Could it be that someone has changed the entire content of my article for some self-promoting purpose? I'd be grateful if you could check if the previous version of the article was fit to remain on Misplaced Pages. Please consult Talk:Hazzard.Odd M. Nilsen 20:03, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
Reminder: I would be grateful if you could reply to me, please. Keep in mind that my article had nothing to do with previous articles with the same title. Yours, --Odd M. Nilsen 10:50, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

New articles
Thanks for the information. The problem was not that the people were not at all notable, but that the articles were probably copyright violations and were written like advertisement copy, which is a speedy deletion criterion, and that the user's only edits were adding bios of people related to this one radio show. The user also did not respond to requests to stop, and repeatedly re-posted the same articles. I don't have a problem if you want to re-create the articles in proper wiki-style. Thanks, Mak (talk) 04:49, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Feel free to unblock if you think it's appropriate. I'd just ask that you double-check that the articles you undelete aren't copyvios. Thanks, Mak (talk) 05:16, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Thedrunkendialer.com
- I am wondering of this site could be considered an internet phenomena or not. I know it is rather popular and extremely humorous. It features a guy who holds a weekly contest offering $100 via PayPal to the individual who leaves him he best Drunk dialing message on his voicemail.
- I did not add this site to this article yet for fear that people would think I am self-promoting. I have no affiliation with the site and can’t find any direct marketing used to purchase products. I just think it is very funny and well known around my area.
- I look forward to some objective input before I add, or do not add this site to the list. Take a look for yourself, you be the judge…
- Misplaced Pages is not an advertising service. Promotional articles about yourself, your friends, your company or products; or articles written as part of a marketing or promotional campaign, may be deleted in accordance with our deletion policies. Thanks, 69.167.102.181
P.S. I posted the same message on User_talk:Wavy_G for more opinions. Look forward to hearing from you...
Thank you for your input
I greatly appreciate you opinions and value your perspectives. Your vantage point enables me to better conceptualize Misplaced Pages’s purpose. I will watch this site in the future to determine if it becomes more notable, however I won’t lose any sleep if it is not included in that particular article. However, I did find it to be quite hilarious, yet I understand that humor is not a criterion for adding a link to an article.
Look forward to hearing from you, 69.167.102.181

Thanks for fixing up the link. I'd forgotten that the "otheruses1" template only takes one parameter anyways, automatically appending "(disambiguation)" to the page name. Cheers. --Ckatzspy 03:29, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

Re: See also links on FFT
Hey Chuq The reason I added the See Also links is because on other governing bodies articles with Football Federation in their name, They all have See Also catorgries on there pages. FFT was the only one without See Also so thought i would add it.
Should we add See Also to FFT or remove See Also from other governing body articles? Thanks Boltonfan22 09:45, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Frasier episodes
Hi there, I started to go through and fix some Frasier eps and noticed you had beaten me to some of them. How far did you get? .. just so I don't double up on looking for title to fix! -- Chuq 08:39, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- That was almost two months ago (when I thought this issue was settled!) so I don't recall too well but I figure I did all of the episodes that existed at the time. Looks like I also did "Law & Order, Criminal Intent", "Firefly", "Max Headroom", "The Twilight Zone", andn "Scrubs". And, of course, I had fixed "Lost" as well at the time! In case you couldn't understand my impatience with the current discussion, it's because this has already been decided before!!! And, of course, it's involving the exact same parties as before - but the filibuster continues... —Wknight94 (talk) 11:34, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Hazzard
I meant to write you about this earlier... I'm very confused about your actions concerning this page. It was speedily deleted several times before, quite justifiably. Then you speedily deleted it, restored it and restored previous versions. I don't know why you restored it after deleting it yourself, and you should be careful when restoring previous deleted versions of a page; in this case, previous deleted versions were about a different subject altogether, so restoring almost the whole history doesn't make sense here. Do you want me to AfD it? I can almost guarantee it won't survive. You've been an admin far longer than me but I'm a little puzzled about this. Grandmasterka 07:05, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
Tainted poll?
Hi. Sorry to bother you. You participated in a television episode article naming poll which now lives at this location. Some feel that wording changes have compromised the results of that poll. If you don't mind, could you please take a look at what is there now and add a quick note at WT:TV-NC#Looking for anyone who objects to the last poll to say whether your feelings on the matter remain the same? Of course you can feel free to read over the entirety of both links for more information. Thanks. —Wknight94 (talk) 02:16, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi
The last couple of reversions of today are taking current enviornmental issues out of a series of arts - I notice there appears to be no attempt at dialogue with the perpretrator - does this mean they've ogone on before or you simply are not interested in channelling the perpatrator into some other means of expression? I am not questioning the action on your part - they are unnaceptable, fair enough (or they could be explained to be ,made another way perhaps) - just curious. Would be interested in a response SatuSuro 08:44, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Assistance to address longterm vandalism problem
Hi Charles. As someone who’s helped combat the persistent vandalism of Avram over a long period of time, I’m wondering if you can help out with an instance of longterm sockpuppet abuse, vandalism, trolling and general disruptive behaviour on a similar article.
Harvardy is a sockpuppet account that was created earlier this year with the apparent sole purpose of stalking my edits to Empire of Atlantium. The account has made a total of 74 edits since being created. Its second edit was a vote to delete the article. 18 other edits consist of reversions to the article. At least 20 other edits constitute attempts to delete content about Atlantium from micronations or harassment directed at me via various talk pages.
As the edit history clearly demonstrates, the person behind the Harvardy sock has been fully conversant with me, my contributions and Misplaced Pages policies and processes from day one, and created the account as a deliberate source of disruption to the project.
After a period of inactivity Harvardy recently reappeared and is continuing recurring vandalism and edit-stalking of Empire of Atlantium. The vandalism comprises wholesale reversion of fully-referenced edits, using false edit summaries, as well as low-level trolling on the article talk page.
Harvardy has also set up other sockpuppets and edited using anonymous IPs to evade the 3RR and continue vandalizing the article. His socks Crooked_allele and Enenkian have both been blocked indefinitely as a result of this.
The general pattern of behaviour, edit summary wording and obsessive vandalism of Empire of Atlantium engaged in by Harvardy is identical to that of the hard-banned editor Wik / Gzornenplatz. The latter obsessively vandalized the Atlantium article and edit-stalked me for several years - exactly as Harvardy is doing now - before being banned by Jimbo.
I’d like to ask if you wouldn’t mind looking into this, and if you agree with my assessment either permanently block Harvardy, or put the article on your watch list so his vandalism can be rolled-back whenever it occurs.
I'm happy to discuss this by email or phone if you think it appropriate. --Gene_poole 04:49, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
Soccer template
If you would look, I have only edited it where it is refered to locally (Asia still is refered to as football and in the worldwide). But the national soccer team has been redirected to national football (soccer) tem and soccer reffered to in australia-wide on wikipedia is referred to as football (soccer). Therefore these must fall inline with the wikipedia agreed term. Thank you. 58.168.213.99 09:52, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi Chuq,
Their views and opinions are equally not being positively recieved and on the rugby league football templates, considered vandalism.
