Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Misplaced Pages. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Misplaced Pages:
- The five pillars of Misplaced Pages
- How to edit a page
- Editing tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Simplified Manual of Style
- Please bear these points in mind while editing Misplaced Pages
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Misplaced Pages's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Misplaced Pages page and follow Misplaced Pages's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or sock puppetry.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Misplaced Pages is not a forum.
The Misplaced Pages tutorial is a good place to start learning about Misplaced Pages. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Battle of Bitlis, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mustafa Kemal (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Misplaced Pages. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Misplaced Pages has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Misplaced Pages:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. Excirial 18:17, 23 September 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, I know it was a bad idea, that's why I reverted it myself. Can you change the names for me? I don't know how. HouseOfArtaxiad (talk) 19:36, 23 September 2013 (UTC)
- Already done - at least i think i did. The page is currently present at Alexander Khatisian, let me know if that should change. Of course you can also try doing so yourself - there is a nice help page available that describes page moves in a format that can actually be considered readable (Compared to the full Manual on moving pages) Excirial 19:48, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

I see that you are relatively new here. I have noticed today your edit, which I believe only serves one purpose - it promotes your point of view and does not improve Misplaced Pages in any way. Additionally, at the talk page of the article one of your opponents already started a discussion about the illustrations, and it would be much more productive from your side to participate in the discussion rather than to make such edits. Unfortunately I have seen too many Armenian and Azeri editors who started with such edits, then went to edit warrings, and eventually resorted to the battleground mentality and had to be blocked. Please try to avoid this path.--Ymblanter (talk) 19:42, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

Please be aware of Requests for arbitration/Armenia-Azerbaijan 2 before making further reverts. Thanks. Grandmaster 19:02, 26 September 2013 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. I know you're good at expanding articles. I just created an article on the notorious murderer of Krikor Zohrab...Cherkes Ahmet. Can you help me expand it? I am having some difficulty with this. Proudbolsahye (talk) 19:11, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Nazım Bey. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware, Misplaced Pages's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Drmies (talk) 18:02, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
