Great work catching the error re Gleason's Theorem. David Eppstein has done a great job writing up Gleason's research in just 2 or 3 days, but he expressed some nervousness because much of it's outside his expertise (not to mention mine). We'd appreciate it if you could do as much checking as you can, in the research section especially. If there are things you're not sure of, open a section on ] with maybe a bullet list of concerns. David's traveling for a few days but once he's back I'm sure he'd like to go over anything with you -- other editors might join as well, let us hope (it's been pretty lonely so far). Is there anyone else you can recruit for research areas you don't feel comfortable with?
<p>The article's been nominated for DYK which means (if successful) that it will be linked from the main page somewhere between a few days and a few weeks from now (hard to tell how long exactly). I knew Gleason well and very much want the article to do him justice when it gets that big exposure. Thanks! ] (]) 03:13, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

Andrew Gleason

Great work catching the error re Gleason's Theorem. David Eppstein has done a great job writing up Gleason's research in just 2 or 3 days, but he expressed some nervousness because much of it's outside his expertise (not to mention mine). We'd appreciate it if you could do as much checking as you can, in the research section especially. If there are things you're not sure of, open a section on Talk:Andrew Gleason with maybe a bullet list of concerns. David's traveling for a few days but once he's back I'm sure he'd like to go over anything with you -- other editors might join as well, let us hope (it's been pretty lonely so far). Is there anyone else you can recruit for research areas you don't feel comfortable with?

The article's been nominated for DYK which means (if successful) that it will be linked from the main page somewhere between a few days and a few weeks from now (hard to tell how long exactly). I knew Gleason well and very much want the article to do him justice when it gets that big exposure. Thanks! EEng (talk) 03:13, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
