Mathew Makil March 27, 1851 - January 26, 1914) was a bishop of the Knanaya Catholic Church. He was born in Manjoor, Travancore now a part of Kerala. He was the third son of Thomman and Anna Makil Puthenpurayil. In 1911, a new Vicariate Apostolic of Kottayam was constituted exclusively for the Knanaya Catholics and Mathew Makil was transferred to Kottayam as Vicar Apostolic.
