Rauru is a character in the video game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. He is an old Hylian man and the Sage of Light. Link first meets him when he awakens from his seven-year-long slumber in the Chamber of the Sages within the Temple of Light inside the Sacred Realm. It is Rauru who explains to Link where he is and what has happened in the past seven years. From Rauru, Link receives his first Medallion- the Light Medallion.
