Re:Seinfeld GA Review

Hi johny...The GA gradation is still a long way to go...The article needs a cleanup and requires lot of sources...Till this happens , i guess it wont be of GA standard. Unfortunately, I am short of time and am unable to devote much time on wikipedia. Therefore I cant help much...But still i have the article on my watch and do follow the changes being made....Gprince007 (talk) 11:10, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

Seinfeld page protection request

I declined your request to have the Seinfeld page protected, as I think you're misunderstanding what that would do. "Semi-protection" merely means that unconfirmed (IP, new) editors would be unable to edit the article. This is usually done due to persistent disruption/vandalism by unregistered users; I don't see that problem on Seinfeld. The other kind of protection, called "Full protection" would mean that no one other than an administrator could edit the article; this is only used on articles when there is a significant content dispute going on on the page. I don't see that being the case here, either. I do see that you tried to make some edits to the article which were reverted. This happens all the time, and is actually a part of the normal editing process on Misplaced Pages. When this happens, the next step for you (if your edits were reverted) is to discuss the issue on the article talk page (Talk:Seinfeld). For example, I see that one of the edits that was recently reverted for you was the choice of which episode/event best represented the character's lack of emotion. Well, that type of choice is one that editors might reasonably disagree about, and, if they do, they need to talk it out on the article talk page to reach a consensus. While we do have a dispute resolution process that can be followed if a talk page discussion doesn't fix the problem, the relatively minor issue here probably shouldn't need to go through that process.

Now, perhaps I misunderstood what it was you were requesting. Please, if you have any questions, feel free to ask me, and I'll be glad to help. Qwyrxian (talk) 07:03, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
