Anita Sarkeesian is feminist video blogger and activist, she focuses on women in popular culture, Tropes in particular. She maintains a YouTube, where her channel has more than one hundred thousand views, and blogs for Bitch Magazine under the name FeministFrequency, she also has her own website. Her videos have been part of university Women's Studies' courses.

Sarkeesian earned a bachelors degree in Communication Studies from California State University-Northridge in 2007 and a Master’s degree in Social and Political Thought from York University in 2010.
