The Grey Organisation
Hi,
I'm researching a project and as part of it I have just created a page on The Grey Organisation. It has received a banner saying "This article may be written from a fan's point of view, rather than a neutral point of view. Please clean it up to conform to a higher standard of quality, and to make it neutral in tone."
I was hoping you could give me an example of this as I feel I have tried to use an academic stand point. I appreciate you feedback

If I can't comment on the talk page, then where should my comment go? Thanks, Nirmos (talk) 15:21, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
- Try and create an article on the subject as you are now placing a comment onto an article talk page that doesn't have an associated article. Mo ainm~Talk 15:31, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
James Connolly
I'm curious about your rationale for removing references to Connolly's Scottishness - "he was an Irish leader". Do you dispute that he was also a leader in the Scottish socialist/trade union movement? Ivor Stoughton (talk) 18:30, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
- It is covered in the lede were he was born. Mo ainm~Talk 18:44, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
- Where he was born, and where he had a lengthy career as a leader in the Scottish socialist/trade union movement. Do I take it you now accept that he was more than simply "an Irish leader"?Ivor Stoughton (talk) 18:48, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
- No. Mo ainm~Talk 18:55, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
- So you dispute that he was a leader in the Scottish socialist/trade union movement? Ivor Stoughton (talk) 18:58, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
- No, but is not notable for his couple of years working with them. Mo ainm~Talk 19:04, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
- So do you favour removing all of the references to his work with them from the article? Ivor Stoughton (talk) 19:18, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
- No why would I? Covered in a section and no need for it in the lede. Mo ainm~Talk 19:22, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
- Because you claimed that Connolly's activism in Scotland was not notable. You also claimed (wrongly) that it lasted only a couple of years. If you really think it's not notable, it shouldn't it be in the article. The fact that you can't make that leap suggests that his Scottish connection is more notable than you allow. My own view is that his career in Scotland is highly significant. Ivor Stoughton (talk) 19:28, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
- So will we call him an American socialist also he was involved with them. Mo ainm~Talk 20:06, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
- If he had been born in the U.S. and lived 25-plus years of his life there, absolutely - he would then be Irish-American rather than Irish-Scots. Ivor Stoughton (talk) 20:43, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

John Rocha
Cheers for removing that verification needed tag. As another contributor who was involved in a mediation cabal had put it there, and I was the opposing party/defendant, I didn't see it right for myself to remove it! Hope you're well! --NorthernCounties (talk) 19:56, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
- No problem 5 sources is more than enough for verification. Mo ainm~Talk 20:13, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
