I am attempting to sort out problems discussed at ], but am having a hard time discerning the flow of the dialog because editors are not following proper talk page practices. Several that I notice you are not following are:
* Add new topics by using the "Post a comment" ("+") tab, which starts the new topic at the '''bottom''' of the page.
* Sign you talk page postings with four tildes (<nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>), which is converted upon saving the edit into your user ID and timestamp. This makes clear who is posting and when they did so.
* Use the edit summary to include a few words describing the contents of your post.
You may not be the only one, but by not doing ''any'' of these, you have become the most obvious editor on that page whose mess I am trying to untangle. Please help us by using these practices in future edits. Thank you. ~ ] ] 08:43, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Secular Humanism

2ct7,

I support the recent changes you've made to the secular humanism article. Just one point i'd like to make though, with regards to secular humanists rejecting ritual. I'm not all knowledgeable when it comes to this subject but I do know the Irish humanist association offer alternative rituals for birth, marriage and death. They of course are optional but it would be going to far to suggest that, at least this secular humanist body, 'rejects' ritual.

I am attempting to sort out problems discussed at Talk:Humanism, but am having a hard time discerning the flow of the dialog because editors are not following proper talk page practices. Several that I notice you are not following are:

 • Sign you talk page postings with four tildes (~~~~), which is converted upon saving the edit into your user ID and timestamp. This makes clear who is posting and when they did so.
 • Use the edit summary to include a few words describing the contents of your post.
