Developing the ] pages is on-going and I'm also trying to turn the ''']''' article into something even vaguely respectable - so far, I've written an introduction, the chronology of plays, the first biog bit, and done the bibliography, but there's a long way to go with it. I'm currently starting articles on the plays that Stanislavski directed. I've been drafting new versions of the ''']''' and related pages (the 'system', the studios, plays he directed, specific productions), which I hope to release into the mainspace soon (the introduction and most of the biography in that article as it currently stands is by me). I've also written a fair amount of the ''']''' article (the intro, much of the biography that has citatons, the chronology of plays, the bibliography) and some of the related theory-practice articles. I'm also developing a major article on greek tragedy (the ] article is full of inaccuracies at present).

Longer term, I'm thinking something on dramatic criticism / theatre criticism (in the sense of Poetics rather than reviews) and theatre semiotics. I expect I'll be dabbling in things like ], ] and other general theatre-related critical concepts. So much to look at on here--some of the theatre pages are not up to scratch. I expect I'll be dabbling in ] shortly. I'll also dabble in the philosophical terminology of ], which seems to me to be ideal for an encyclopedia, as it's often quite dense. I'm particularly interested in how their semiotics is articulated with ] and ] concepts. I dabble in other related articles - ], ], etc.. I have a tendency to spread my focus too widely, which means that it takes a long time before I "complete" articles. Recently I've added a fair amount to the ] article. I keep forgetting to update this page with what I've added.

This user is a participant in WikiProject Theatre.
This user is interested in drama and acting.

I joined in August 2007.

I have several degrees in theatre / drama / film from universities in the UK and USA and will be contributing in these areas. I'm a lecturer in drama in London.

I've been drafting new versions of the Constantin Stanislavski and related pages (the 'system', the studios, plays he directed, specific productions), which I hope to release into the mainspace soon (the introduction and most of the biography in that article as it currently stands is by me). I've also written a fair amount of the Bertolt Brecht article (the intro, much of the biography that has citatons, the chronology of plays, the bibliography) and some of the related theory-practice articles. I'm also developing a major article on greek tragedy (the Theatre of ancient Greece article is full of inaccuracies at present).

"Anyone can be creative,
it's rewriting other people
that's a challenge."
Bertolt Brecht

I also dabble in the philosophical terminology of Deleuze and Guattari, which seems to me to be ideal for an encyclopedia, as it's often quite dense. I'm particularly interested in how their semiotics is articulated with Foucault and Negri's concepts.

I dabble in other related articles - tragedy, drama, etc.. I have a tendency to spread my focus too widely, which means that it takes a long time before I "complete" articles. Recently I've added a fair amount to the August Strindberg article. I keep forgetting to update this page with what I've added.

Any comments are welcome on my talk page.
