• WP:TOKU

WikiProject Tokusatsu (ウィキプロジェクト 特撮, Wikipurojekuto Tokusatsu) is the result of Wikipedians coming together to form a project to organize information relating to the genre of Japanese film, television programming, and other media known as tokusatsu. This includes (but is not limited to) franchises such as:

• Kaiju films (Godzilla, Gamera, etc)
• The Super Sentai series
• The Kamen Rider Series
• The Ultra Series
• The Metal Heroes
• Other Toei Superheroes
• The Chouseishin Series
• And other pages in Category:Tokusatsu

As well as their English language adaptations:

• Power Rangers
• Beetleborgs
• Masked Rider
• VR Troopers
• Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad
• Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight

Goals

• Improve the knowledge of tokusatsu within Misplaced Pages.
  • Get Tokusatsu, Super Sentai, Kamen Rider Series, Kaiju, etc. to featured status.

Scope

• All Japanese tokusatsu productions and any adaptions of them in other languages

Guidelines

Trivia

Per Misplaced Pages:Avoid trivia sections in articles, please integrate trivia sections into the main text, or create a new section that discusses the trivia in a coherent manner. Convert bulleted lists into prose.

The Japanese language

Utilize the {{Nihongo}} template instead of the makeshift one (English and then kanji/kana in a parenthesis followed by romaji in italics). If the katakana or kanji is unknown, check the page at the Japanese Misplaced Pages (日本語のウィキペディア, Nihongo no Uikipidīa).

Power Rangers

• Deploy {{Infobox Power Rangers}} on articles about individual characters (see Cassie Chan for an example).
• Episodes should not have their own article (this is not a catch-all; major exceptions include Day of the Dumpster and possibly some others). They should be put in a "List of xxx episodes" article.
• The tables on Power Rangers articles should be phased out entirely. They should be replaced with a terse character section, describing the character, such as sections at Mighty Morphin Power Rangers#The Power Rangers, GoGo Sentai Boukenger#Characters, and Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger#Characters. No colored text should be utilized in this process. The only thing that should be linked to are the following:
  • The character's section in a separate article or the character's article
  • An article on the actor who plays said character.
• Create a common and consistent outline to be used for each individual Power Rangers series
  • All series articles should include Synopsis, Characters, Arsenal, Zords, and Episodes (and under these common titles)
  • Reach a consensus to either create/expand other "common" sections featured in only a couple series (including Production History, Uniqueness of the Series) or remove/integrate the information into other sections.

(Currently marked as requiring copy-editing. Also no references shown.)
