Amy Joanne Robach (born February 6, 1973 in Saint Joseph, Michigan) is a national correspondent for NBC's Today, as well as the co-host of their Saturday edition.
Biography
She previously worked at WTTG in Washington, D.C., and came to MSNBC in 2003 where she spent four years there, including a stint anchoring two hours in the morning. She was named co-anchor of Weekend Today in July 2007. Since then, she occasionally fills-in as anchor on the weekday version of the show and the NBC Nightly News. She also filled in on Countdown with Keith Olbermann.
Personal life
Robach was runner up to Miss Georgia in the mid 1990s. She graduated from Brookwood High School in Snellville, Georgia, and from the University of Georgia with high honors in Broadcast Journalism. She lived half of her childhood in St. Louis, spent nine years in Georgia, and moved on to South Carolina, Washington, D.C., and the New York area. She lives in Manhattan with her husband Tim McIntosh and their two daughters. Amy is a cousin of former Nashville Star contestant Matt Lindahl.
