I've added a sourced line to the lede and removed the unsourced one. Given Bill Viola's place in the history of electronic media I realize my addition somewhat understates his position in the art world and is a step down from the sentence I removed . I hope to do some work on this article and hopefully can add material that will explain Viola's position without becoming grandiose in any way.(] (]) 19:39, 25 February 2009 (UTC))

I'm removing the section about what he keeps on his night table. It's frankly embarrassing to see something that self-celebratory in Misplaced Pages, and neither Mr. Viola nor probably anyone intimately familiar with his bedroom should be editing this page.
