User talk:Smith Jones/My archive <---ARCHIVE
Given the level of dysfunction that has come to prevail on Misplaced Pages, the most appropriate course for a principled scientist is to withdraw from the project.
The bureaucracy should either take corrective steps to fix this situation, or else suffer the eventual loss of huge amounts of valuable talent and volunteered resources.
If you agree with this statement, post it to your pages, and pass it on. (discuss this here)
- And thanks for your help over there -- things got a little out of hand. Best wishes, Pete Tillman (talk) 02:43, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
== Re: [[Little Sark]] ==
Hi Smith Jones - you made comments at Talk:Sark#Merge Little Sark about merging the article on Little Sark into the main one on Sark. I've made a few changes to the Little Sark article - could I ask you to have a look at it now, to see whether you still think it should be merged? Thank you, Grutness...wha? 22:37, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
UN Security Council President
I know he is the president however to say he was "appointed" by France as president sounds like he was given that specific job rather than just being the French Ambassador at a time when France holds the presidency. Its also creating extra work, at the moment the country just needs replacing every month and that appears on the UN Security Council website, without having to look up that countries ambassador and provide sources etc. I dont have a problem with it being mentioned, just needs to be worded so it doesnt sound like he was specially selected for the job.. if you see what i mean. Banderas
Hello, in light of recent discoveries, I am proposing a consensus concerning the colors of the flag of Puerto Rico in neutral articles. Please see the project's talk page for further detail. Thanks for your time. - Caribbean~H.Q. 22:28, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Gareth Penn entry
Thank you for your help and good advice to User:Bali_ultimate on this entry. I offered similar advice on his Talk page, which he promptly deleted. I am sorry that Bali ultimate chose to belittle you, just as sorry as those of us who've worked for two years to create the entry are about his one-day destruction of it. He seems like a very angry person who is taking out his anger on fellow Misplaced Pages users. Bankscover (talk) 04:35, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Warning (second notice)
- Kristen's rollback rights were removed. I'm not sure whether Krimpet would want User:Crimp It! tagged or not, or if it even matters. Someone could ask Krimpet if they would mind. Cool Hand Luke 22:36, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
AfD
I looked again and the sources aren't that numerous, though I still consider historical subjects good. I suggest you see what the next couple of people's comments/votes say. I have to go out now I'm afraid or I'd help, but you could ask someone else about withdrawl of a nom, or if a couple of people say 'keep' close it per WP:NAC and mention withdrawing your nom in your closing comment. (For the official version, you'd have to try and hunt it down, but it's not a procedure that's outlined very visibly.) Don't feel 'wrong'- your AfD was not completely unfounded.Sticky Parkin 18:09, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
