Interstate 587 (abbreviated I-587) is a short Interstate spur route servicing the city of Kingston, New York. It connects I-87 and the New York State Thruway west of the city with the downtown area.

At 1.2 miles, I-587 is one of the shortest Interstate highways, and it is also known as one of the most peculiar and obscure. Although the length of the highway is built to Interstate specifications, it has no interchanges. It begins at a traffic circle (more properly, a roundabout) near a junction with I-87, and ends at a traffic light near downtown Kingston. There is no signage for I-587 at its exit from I-87 (where it is signed as NY 28). I-587 does not actually connect with I-87, as the aforementioned traffic circle is the end of the highway, and the road north of it is NY 28. I-587 also has a business on it, which is a rare occurrence for an interstate highway.

The entire length is cosigned with NY 28, and it is commonly called the Colonel Chandler Drive. Just to the west of I-87 and the traffic circle at the end of I-587, NY 28 has a full cloverleaf interchange with US 209.

Legally, the route of I-587 is defined as Interstate Route Connector 530 in New York Highway Law § 340-a.
