| At 1.2 miles, I-587 is one of the shortest Interstate highways, and it is also known as one of the most peculiar and obscure. Although the length of the highway is built to ], it has no interchanges. It begins at a traffic circle (more properly, a ]) near a junction with ], and ends at a traffic light near downtown Kingston. There is no signage for I-587 at its exit from ] (where it is signed as ]). I-587 does not actually connect with I-87, as the aforementioned ] is the end of the highway, and the road north of it is ]. I-587 also has a business on it, which is a rare occurrence for an interstate highway. | |||
