You may not realize it, but calling an editor a "{{tq|pompous dolt}}," as , is a violation of Misplaced Pages's policy banning personal attacks. (See ], ].) @79.79.139.50:

as I said to you previously, you should do as you please. You've mistakenly thought that I am an arbiter on this issue, or interested in what you have to say regarding it. In the half hour before your last message landed on my Talk page, I read through the material on this topic. It is abundantly clear that it is a nonsense conspiracy theory being touted by...well, instead of insulting anyone explicitly it is sufficient for me to write 'touted by conspiracy theorists', with everything that is implicit in that phrase.

With a legal discovery of this magnitude it's probably better you expose it to a major newspaper or news-channel (they'll pay you millions for a scoop like this). When the New Order arrives I hope you'll be gracious enough to forgive me for completely disregarding you as profound irritation. --Flusapochterasumesch (talk) 21:19, 16 November 2024 (UTC)

It is abundantly clear that it is a nonsense conspiracy theory

And do read WP:NPA. When people stoop to that it invariably means they've lost the argument and don't want to admit it. 79.79.139.50 (talk) 21:35, 16 November 2024 (UTC)

Invariably, you're so right. Except I'm not sure I ever engaged in your 'argument'. Why aren't you phoning The New York Times newsdesk with your hot-scoop, instead of harassing me? What part of "I'm not interested" do you not understand?
I'm a nothing here on WP. If I was sitting on an exposé of the importance that you think you are, I'd have put it back front-and-centre. When the wider encyclommunity sees the brilliance of your research I'll be ridiculed and shunned for ever deleting it. I'll go down in wikihistory as one of the most despicable, abhorrent misologists in all of humankind.
And I don't think me admitting that you're very irritating is a personal attack. It's just a matter of fact.
Now if you don't mind I'm busy working on some explosive content for the WP:Chemtrails article. Flusapochterasumesch (talk) 22:14, 16 November 2024 (UTC)

A warning re: insults

You may not realize it, but calling an editor a "pompous dolt," as you did to me here, is a violation of Misplaced Pages's policy banning personal attacks. (See WP:NPA, WP:TALKNO.) I am pretty relaxed about being called names by anonymous strangers on the Internet, but many editors are not. Continuing with this approach is likely to lead you into being sanctioned. Be advised.
