== Perennial Proposal ==

At this point I don't think there is anything "different" I can say in these unblock proposals. Its been a little over six years since I was active on the English Misplaced Pages. I have made several requests for unblock, proposing ideas to move forward. I have not gotten any meaningful feedback on those except for a decline to the request. My question is to ArbCom (since they are the only ones Who can unblock me) Can I get specific actionable points for a solution, or is there no change for this appeal to ever be successful? Is this in fact a permanent ban which cannot be appealed, or is there a chance for return? ] 19:26, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

:::::What was the expectation here? You didn't ping anyone and you didn't email the committee. ''']''' ] 19:01, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
::::::{{ping|Mkdw}} historically this talk page has been heavily watchlisted and that has been enough. I guess times have changed and that is no longer the case. ] 19:27, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
:::::::In 2019 you asked nearly the same question as you're asking now and you pinged the entire committee. I'm not sure what would have changed between then and now that you would expect to receive a timely response without notifying anyone; I do not believe there's anything to indicate your user talk page is more closely monitored now than it was in 2019. In briefly looking over your 2019 inquiry, you received some feedback, albeit harshly, but perhaps a sign of frustration due to the fact that you were provided significant feedback in 2017. As I noted then, I any future appeal would need to address the concerns raised by the community. As far as I can recall, the 2019 inquiry did not result in a subsequent appeal despite more feedback. Notably in 2017, several editors stated that even before your indefinite block you had received lots feedback from various members of the community about issues and concerns that were not remedied and ultimately led to your final indefinite block. An exhaustive pattern emerges where we now find ourselves here in 2020 with the same question that was asked in 2019 with the same feedback as 2017. I'm not entirely sure if more feedback is going to make a difference though I would welcome for that not to be true. ''']''' ] 19:52, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
:::::::Also, I believe 2017 was your which was taken to ARCA and where 49 editors participated. If you believe that you "have not gotten any meaningful feedback on those except for a decline to the request" then I think that's a problem. ''']''' ] 20:02, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
::::::::? ''']''' ] 03:36, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
:::::::::Well... this ended up being another time sink... ''again''; you wanted some direct feedback. This discussion has been a near identical repeat of when you asked the same question but no formal appeal ever materialized. This time, you expressed impatience after only four days without a response, yet now that several members of the committee have responded, several weeks have gone by without any additional participation on your part. If you feel entitled to the immediacy of others, but not reciprocally, then I retain my concerns about how you plan to return to collaborating with others. Since you have expressly asked again about specific actionable items, I will point out the following as things you will need to address at a minimum:
:::::::::#I would suggest you actually submit a formal appeal of substance next time, without soliciting further feedback, out of the interest of respecting people's time.
:::::::::#Several years have gone by since you were indefinitely blocked, but the little interaction we have seen during the interim time, still indicates some enduring problems.
:::::::::#Avoid making misleading or false statements such as saying that you "have made several requests for unblock". The last unblock appeal the Arbitration Committee has received from you was in 2017, which the committee facilitated a community appeal.
:::::::::#You have received an ''enormous'' amount of feedback from the community in 2017 and in 2019. As I stated above, if it is <u>2020</u> and you are still asserting that you "have not gotten any meaningful feedback", then that is a problem.
:::::::::#Any appeal should address feedback you have received in 2017, 2019, and now, as well as outline a plan on how you will avoid issues in the future. Guy, Rob, and several others have provided a clear set of things they would have liked to have seen in an appeal. Also, my comments in , , and here should be taken into consideration.
:::::::::#<u>Any future appeal you submit to the Arbitration Committee could possibly be brought before the community again for comment .</u>
:::::::::Finally, as Rob said in 2019, no one will be able to provide you with guaranteed set of step-by-step instructions that will lead to you being unblocked. The ultimate burden to prove that you have overcome your past mistakes and that you will be able to avoid repeating them in the future is on you to convince people. In my personal opinion, your comments in 2017, 2019, and here have not been able to do that and raise more concerns than they ease. ''']''' ] 08:21, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

:::I don't know about other Arbs, but this is the first I've heard about an unban of Δ - the message above didn't appear on my radar. Can I suggest that perhaps you email the committee with an appeal? You may consider the discussion perennial, but to my recollection, you've not put in an appeal to the committee since I've been back on it - so that's the last 3 years at least. I'd have to look back over the history, but I'm certainly open to considering what you have to say, assuming you're willing put together some sort of coherent appeal. ]TT(]) 13:35, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
::::Looking a bit further, I see there was an appeal in and a ping from here in - which I don't seem to have replied to. It doesn't change matters though, I still think the best option for you is to email the committee with your thoughts. ]TT(]) 13:51, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

I wasn't aware of any recent appeal or request to appeal either. Given the time that has elapsed, you have the right to another appeal if you wish. Please note that it's unlikely that most of the arbitrators have this page watchlisted, especially since there's been plenty of membership turnover on the Committee, so nothing should be inferred from any delays in responding here. ] (]) 17:06, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
:I have fired off an email too. Lets see what hapepns. ] 19:31, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
::{{u|Δ}}, we have had no email, I've checked the pending. If you have sent it to the old arbcom email address, you should have had an email response suggesting you send it to the correct email address.
::
::This may give you a chance to alter your email taking into account the comments from Mkdw above? ]TT(]) 21:48, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
:::In 2018, the email address for ArbCom was moved over to <code>arbcom-en@wikimedia.org</code>. Please make sure you send any communications or unblock appeals intended for the committee there. ''']''' ] 18:33, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
