~my new favorite wikipedia quotes
I am currently looking for a few newer quotes at wikipedia...found one! " Thanks for reviewing Philippine Native Plants Conservation Society Hi Alternativity, Thanks for reviewing Philippine Native Plants Conservation Society. I really just created the article because I saw the Society red linked in the article you created about Leonard Co. The article about him was quite interesting and well done. I hope I did not step on your toes by starting to create the article about the Society. Please feel free to expand the society article if you are so inclined. I have done a bit of research on the society and will be adding a few more references in the coming days. I do enjoy working in collaboration with others! ciao!!! Carriearchdale (talk) 08:46, 16 June 2014" "(UTC)
- Hi Carriearchdale! :D Thanks. :D I have to disagree about the Leonard Co being "well done" at this point because it's only about a tenth of the quality it should be. Hehe. But thank you. :D Thanks for getting to work on the society article. I've got a huge "to create" list still to get to and I'm afraid the society page isn't very high on my priority list yet. So I'm WAY glad someone's working on it. Hm. One suggestion, btw: are you active on Tagalog Misplaced Pages? Because there's a lot of work that needs doing there, making articles for native Philippine species. Anyway. Thank you for your work. Knowledge is an important weapon in the movement to protect Philippine biodiversity. And every helping hand is a step forward. :D Happy editing! -- Alternativity (talk) 11:29, 16 June 2014 (UTC)

rebuttal I agree with your concern about the burn out on editing. I do not agree that comments on ANI pages should exclude new editors. I also do not agree that that I have significant disregard for BLP. I have done exactly two edits in Ronan Farrow page (the biography is about Ronan, BTW, not Woody), the first edit was supported by an administrator on the BLP page as appropriate, and the second was to precisely respond to an experienced editors request. I have gotten ZERO feedback on any BLP violations except ad-hominem attacks. I am primarily a medical editor who is trying to learn the skills of controversial editing in an area with less importance (and zero importance to me, but I intend to see it through to its logical end, which could be as simple as an experienced editor with a calm voice saying: "bob, do X", which I will instantly). My position is well researched and your accusation is unfounded. As for my returning the favor to Carrie of reading the record and commenting, as we had previously tried to work together in another article. We have some established good faith, with exists broadly within Misplaced Pages editors, so can hardly be considered bad. I have read the transcript, and gave my opinion. You have chosen to attack the messenger with no assumption of good faith. I assume your good faith in wanting a good encyclopedia, but perhaps you might want to listen and see if there is a good argument being made by Carrie or I, and dispute the content on the basis of balance rather than assumptions. I doubt that you will find two more earnest editors than Carrie or I on Misplaced Pages, and if you want to attract more earnest editors Misplaced Pages should find ways to engage each of us on content rather than false accusation, misrepresentation, POV, or what you think our intent is. Misplaced Pages will die if it cannot find new voices and chooses to descend into a vacuous testosterone pit.Bob the goodwin (talk) 20:57, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
Thanks and accolades!
Thanks
Lyme Wars Thanks for coming in and helping. I am not very good at Misplaced Pages (yet?) editing. If you look at my sandbox, you can see where I was trying to head. I have 40-50 sections in the sandbox, and expert help can make this an excellent article. User:Bob the goodwin/sandbox The Sceptical Chymist actually put the page up, but was working from my research. I appreciate any help to get that article complete. Bob the goodwin (talk) 09:04, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
Athiyur Hi there, just wanted to say thanks for all the work you've done cleaning up the Athiyur article. I have been trying to do this for months now, but the content seems to keep being re-added to article. I know you have asked questions about the article and the editor who keeps reverting and asking for edit protection. I have tried to explain to that editor in the edit summary and on his talk page why his edits were being removed or edited, but I don't think he fully understands how Misplaced Pages works. I get the impression he thinks that whatever he adds should stay, regardless of other editors or policy. The editor has even added welcome messages and holiday greetings to the reader, so I obviously haven't been able to get through to him. I'm thinking the difference in languages has something to do with this, as what makes no sense to me may make complete sense to him causing him to be annoyed when he gets reverted. Regardless of all this, I think it's obvious he is trying to contribute to the article in good faith, so it's not a bad idea to leave him a message if you happen to have to revert his edits. Anyways, like I said above, good work getting this cleaned up. Cmr08 (talk) 22:17, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the note Cmr08. I had just left you a note on your talk page. I am nearing the completion of my copy-edit work on the article Athiyur, and I am hopeful that there will be no more problems with inappropriate material, text, or images being added to the article by any editor. Of course all editors are welcome to edit the article, but I really hope we all have the same goal of improving the article and Misplaced Pages. I hope everyone has a great day today! Carriearchdale (talk) 22:25, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
...and btw Cmr08, thank you for noticing my copy edit work, and you are quite welcome! Carriearchdale (talk) 22:27, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, I seen the note. I think we were both messaging each other at the same time. Like I said above, I think this has more to do with not understanding how Misplaced Pages works, but considering he made no attempt to discuss and has been re-adding removed content without explaination, I don't really know what the story is. In situations like this, it's always best to assume good faith until we have a reason to assume otherwise. We will have to see how he reacts to the copy edits. Cmr08 (talk) 22:35, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
Thanks Hi Carriearchdale. Thanks for reviewing Adam and Eve (public house). Yes, the article is short at the moment but I believe there are multiple secondary sources to improve the article (including finding a conclusive date of earliest record to a tavern on its site, either 1241 or 1249). May I ask your reason for tagging the article as an advertisement, and how I can solve that issue? Best, Duffit talk 14:40, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
Hi Duffit, The one external link you have listed on the article is also used as an inline citation in the article. http://www.thegoodpubguide.co.uk/pub/view/Adam-&-Eve-NR3-1RZ That site appears to be done in a promotional or advertisy writing style. Perhaps you could a different source to verify the saxon well. I think that having that link in the external links is probably okay, but if it were possible to have a source for the citation from a different secondary or tertiary source, that would be most ideal! Anyways I do very much like the way you have put the list together. If you have any more questions, or if I can help in any way with the article please do not hesitate to ask... I hope you a have a very great Saturday. Cheers!!! Carriearchdale (talk) 14:57, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the super quick response, Carriearchdale. :) I've completely excised the inline citations to the Good Pub Guide, but kept it as an external link as the GPG is a nationally known directory of pubs in the UK. I replaced the citation to the Saxon well to the Eastern Daily Press newspaper source. Does that solve the advertising issue? Hope you have a lovely Saturday too :). Best, Duffit talk 15:28, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
Thanks. I don't know what a citation barnstormer is, but it made me really happy. I am not sure I am doing a good job, but I want a good encyclopedia. I also want to learn to work within this environment. There is a lot of work that can be done if I figure it all out. I happen to think the Lyme wars stories is one of the all time great stories, I hope you are enjoying working with it. Let me know if I can do anything for you. I live in Seattle, and tend to stay up late, its nice to see someone awake at the same time! I will send you an email, if you want to discuss offline. Bob the goodwin (talk) 08:15, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
Samsung Gear Fit Hi, Thanks for the talk message. I didn't actually create the article however; I had created it as a redirect to the Samsung Gear page, which was later turned into an article by another editor. I'm more than ready to help improve the content, regardless. --RaviC (talk) 14:22, 11 March 2014 (UTC)
Wideo.co article Hey Carriearchdale, not sure if this is appropriate location for a response as I'm still getting used to the communications side of this, but thanks for the message re the Wideo.co entry! I intend to spend some more time improving the article tomorrow so will certainly take your suggestions on board and will probably be in touch for further assistance! Thanks, Will. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WillDalton (talk • contribs) 00:50, 12 March 2014 (UTC) Great, please let me know if you have any questions, or if I can help in any way on the article. ciao! Tag still there - possible edit conflict
Thanks for reviewing my latest contribution, Liane Davey. However, it seems the new article tag is still there... maybe there was an edit conflict that prevented the removal? Thanks again. Woz2 (talk) 23:35, 25 May 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note. I resaved it as reviewed, I think that got it. It was a really well done article. I enjoyed reading over the article.

Thanks againBold text I know that there is a way to put a link into talk pages that gives you a notification, but I do not know it. So I am coming to your talk pages.
I got into a friendly fight with other editors arount MEDRS, so I am a little nervous about being bold in this topic, so I personally appreciate your involvement (as well Chemist). I hope to be a good editor over time, so please consider this an investment you are making into me as well as the article. I do not feel any ownership (sorry about the primary and tertiary terminology) I hope I bring some useful perspective, but like the equal voice of everyone who is willing to participate in creating an excellent article. I think this is a fascinating, topical, and useful article. Hundreds of thousands of people have been affected. I think a neutral and well sourced article is helpful to the society, to the debate, to the patients, and to Misplaced Pages. So I appreciate the help to achieve excellence. And as I said earlier, I would like to gain confidence and do more after this article is complete. I also will accept suggestions on further research. I have put a lot of time into this, and want to get it right. Thanks!Bob the goodwin (talk) 22:10, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
Keep Empowerment of Women should actually be a parent category which could encompass a lot of the smaller categories. Basically there are two major sides women and men. Let's just make it a neutral topic and neutral categories. I propose keep this one. and also create a category Empowerment of Men. Long standing never trumps change, and a better equality and a movement toward total neutrality on our beloved Misplaced Pages could make Misplaced Pages more encyclopedic. Welcome to MILHIST
Hello and welcome to the Military history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Misplaced Pages's coverage of topics related to military history.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated very frequently. You can watchlist it if you are interested, or you can add it directly to your user page by copying the following: {{WPMILHIST Announcements}}.
- Important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has several departments, which handle article quality assessment, detailed article and content review, writing contests, and article logistics.
- We have a number of task forces that focus on specific topics, nations, periods, and conflicts.
- We've developed a set of guidelines that cover article structure and content, template use, categorization, and many other issues of interest.
- If you're looking for something to work on, there are many articles that need attention, as well as a number of review alerts.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask any of the project coordinators or any other experienced member of the project, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome, and we are looking forward to seeing you around! Anotherclown (talk) 21:56, 7 June 2014 (UTC)

Your rollback request
Hi Carriearchdale, I have granted rollback rights to your account in accordance with your request. Please be aware that rollback should be used to revert vandalism, spam and blatantly unconstructive edits; using it to revert any other type of edit - such as by revert-warring or reverting edits you disagree with - can lead to it being removed from your account...sometimes without any warning, as some admins do not give a warning if they become aware of any misuse. If you think an edit should require a reason for reverting, use a manual edit summary instead of using the rollback tool. For practice, you may wish to review Misplaced Pages:New admin school/Rollback.
Also, I noticed that you were blocked earlier this year. I think you'll be fine with the rollback tool, hence why I granted it to you, but I would take extra care with it: if you're blocked for breaking 3RR again you could end up with rollback being removed from your account, even if you didn't use it to edit war. Good luck. Acalamari 21:00, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you @Acalamari , I appreciate you setting that for me. I did have that one block several months ago, but that whole incident was well out of character for me, Since then I have been doing my very best to help to improve articles, and the encyclopedia as a whole. If you got a chance to look at some of my contribution list then I hope you saw something good. I will be very careful. Thanks! ciao!!! Carriearchdale (talk) 21:13, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
Deadbeat parent
hi, i recently had my deletion of some content in the "Deadbeat parent" article reverted by you. for reference, the section i deleted was:
my edit comment at the time was:
"zero citations and lots of loaded language is ample reason to delete"
i feel that this was a good explanation for my action. note that there are, in fact, no citations in the entire section and there are two 'citation needed' entries, both six months old. additionally, the language of the section was full of loaded language: "so-called" debeat parents, "fraught with error", the new jersey legal system "ignoring" wibur's als. there is, to me at least, a strong feeling of bias in the whole section -- and no sources to back it up. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.53.130.94 (talk) 21:46, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
- Hello, It probably would have been a better idea to place a more references needed tag, or a citation needed tag just after the statements that you did not agree with. That would have given other editors an opportunity to find some more references, or citations to verify the statement. Blanking out a whole section is never the best thing to do because the community and editors as a whole would need to come to some sort of consensus to delete parts of, or all of the article. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. ciao!!! Carriearchdale (talk) 21:56, 16 June 2014 (UTC)

The Misplaced Pages Library: New Account Coordinators Needed
Hi Books & Bytes recipients: The Misplaced Pages Library has been expanding rapidly and we need some help! We currently have 10 signups for free account access open and several more in the works... In order to help with those signups, distribute access codes, and manage accounts we'll need 2-3 more Account Coordinators.
It takes about an hour to get up and running and then only takes a couple hours per week, flexible depending upon your schedule and routine. If you're interested in helping out, please drop a note in the next week at my talk page or shoot me an email at: jorlowitzgmail.com. Tech News: 2014-26
Latest tech news from the Wikimedia technical community. Please inform other users about these changes. Not all changes will affect you. Translations are available.
Recent software changes
- The latest version of MediaWiki (1.24wmf10) was added to test wikis and MediaWiki.org on June 19. It will be added to non-Misplaced Pages wikis on June 24, and to all Wikipedias on June 26 (calendar).
VisualEditor news
- You can now drag-and-drop selections of content, not just files and templates.
- When dragging an item, you will now see a line that helps you to drop it.
- You can now only move an image to the start of a paragraph, not to the middle of it, so you don't accidentally split it.
- You will now be warned if you add wikitext to file captions and references.
Future software changes
- You will no longer be able to upload files on wikis that do not have any copyright tags.
- CirrusSearch will be enabled as the primary search method on additional 70 new wikis, including Meta-Wiki and Wikimedia Incubator, during the next week.
- CirrusSearch results will soon take into account categories, the first paragraph and the wikitext of a page. You will also be able to use regular expressions to search the wikitext. It will take a few days for the changes to be enabled on all wikis.
- You will soon be able to watch translations for e-mail notifications without receiving an e-mail when they are reviewed by another translator.
- An IRC meeting to organize old high priority MediaWiki bug reports will take place on June 24 at 17:00 UTC on the channel #wikimedia-office on freenode (time conversion).
Problems
- On June 19, all wikis were broken for about 15 minutes due to a high server load.
- Between June 13 and June 15 there were problems with the scaling of video files due to a configuration error.

However, the SUL report for this account shows that you have contributed to 21 WMF projects. Under what account name did you make contributions to 14 other projects? BMK (talk) 22:36, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
response My account name is Carriearchdale. Always has been and always will be. Thank you for stopping in to enquire. I do appreciate that. Perhaps maybe you should update all your wikimedia softwares and such. Because I did make an error when I said around 35 global wikis. It is actually 38.

- Why does it matter if she's active on however-many projects? ミーラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 02:31, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- It matters because she posted an appeal/justification on User talk:Jimbo Wales in which she seriously exaggerated her contributions to WMF projects in order to make herself look better. She wrote:
This simple sentence is full of false impressions and exaggerations. Her account was made in 2007, but she didn't edit until January 2014, so the implication that she's a long-term editor is false. She is registered on 38 WMF projects but only actually edited on 21 of them, and on 11 of these her edits were simply to create a user page. That means that she's not "contributing globally across 35 wikipedias", she's contributing to 10 WMF projects, and on four of those ten she's only got edits to a couple of articles. In truth, she's only contributed any significant edits to en.wiki, Commons, simplywiki, en.wiktionary and meta.My name on wikipedia is Carriearchdale and I have been a registered member of wikipedia since 2007 contributing globally across some 35 wikipedias.'
Now people contribute what they can when they can, everyone can do as much or as little as they like, so contributing 12,980 edits is a good thing (if they are good edits -- the AN/I seems to be showing that many of them are not). What's wrong is exaggerating your contributions in order to make yourself look better so that your unsupported allegations of another user being a paid editor might have a chance of being taken seriously. That's why it matters, not in the abstract, but because of how she presented herself. BMK (talk) 03:37, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- I saw this on ANI a little while after I asked, so sorry that you had to explain here too. Also it's good that you put this up at Jimbo's talk page and ANI. ミーラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 03:53, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

A chance for you to redeem yourself
Hello User:Carriearchdale, I'm User:Sturmgewehr88. It appears that, because of your behavior in the last few months, you are about to be indefinitely blocked on English Misplaced Pages. Because I believe in WP:Good faith, I'm going to spell something out for you: while many editors support indef blocking you, a majority of them are in favor of later unblocking you if you learn from your misdeeds and accept that what you did was wrong. They're not asking you to kiss their ass, just accept responsibility for your actions. I have also volunteered to be your WP:MENTOR after you're unblocked. I look forward to helping you become a better contributing editor to Misplaced Pages, but you have to take the first step. Also, when you request to be unblocked, please don't sound like a "victim"; you must genuinely regret and repent your past actions, otherwise no admin will unblock you. Cheers~ ミーラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 23:06, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
I do thank you for stopping in with your kind offer. I will certainly take it in under advisement. I am and always will fully accountable for my actions. I always have been and I always will be.
Also thanks for the note about the broken user boxes and such. I may be brilliant but I never said I could make a correct user box. I have been renovating on my user page, so please do pardon the dust. There is all kinds of code swirling around over there. I like your signature coding. I am very attract to the different script to write a couple in japanese script! Please do stop back in another time. Have a great evening! Also please see the response to the user who posted a question just above yours.
ciao!!! Carriearchdale (talk) 23:32, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
Let us all have a spelling lesson!!!
Let us all have a spelling lesson!!!
Okay now, sound out each letter as we spell the big long difficult word!!!
Who can spell it,
who can say it?
If you don't want to to learn a word that most of you do not have a good understanding of, please exit now!!!
And now, very politely, here we go.............................

ciao!!! I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the evening!!!

- You can stop patting yourself on the back. Whistleblowers come with evidence of the malfeasance they're blowing the whistle on. You, however, have presented no evidence whatsoever, just unsupported accusations. You appear to merely be harassing an innocent editor. If you have real evidence of paid editing, then provide it, please. Put up, or shut up. BMK (talk) 01:09, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
oh, but I already have user bmk!!! I have done my due diligence. Maybe it's just that you are too far down on the FUCKING totem pole that you don't even know about it yet!!!
BE GONE!!!
ciao!!! Carriearchdale (talk) 02:13, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- Don't you want me to have a wonderful rest of the evening? BMK (talk) 02:16, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- Both of you, stop acting childish. Carriearchdale, this section reads more like "I'm getting blocked anyway, YOLO" and violates WP:CIVIL, please don't make this any worse for yourself than it already is. And BMK, you should know better than to poke at her. ミーラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 02:38, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- As another editor said about Carriearchdale (not me), she exhibits "Scary, vicious, totally insupportable and unconscionable behavior". If someone behaves in that manner, they really should expect to get a tiny bit of their own back every now and then. In any case, I still want to find out if I'm supposed to have wonderful rest of the evening or not -- I won't to able to go to bed until I know. BMK (talk) 02:47, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- Wow, that sarcasm made me chuckle. Anyway, I understand your frustration with this behavior, but again that doesn't mean you can turn around and give it back. If it bugs you so much, don't post on her talk page (although if she does this somewhere else, that's a different story. ミーラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 02:53, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

Again, and for the record, I have not, nor have I ever received any form of payment or compensation from anyone in any manner, shape, or form regarding my endeavors on Misplaced Pages. Anyone who states that this is not correct is making false, fraudulent, and libelous accusations, and is a liability to the organization as well as to editors whose sole aim is to contribute in good faith. Thank you to all of you for your support in this unwarranted and unfounded matter by this editor, Daniellagreen 03:09, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- @Daniellagreen: Be careful about using the "L" word ("Libel") as it could be interpreted as a legal threat, which can get you blocked from editing. I don't believe you meant it that way, so, if I am correct, you should make a statement here on the order of "I have no intention of taking legal action," if that is indeed the case. Please take this advice very seriously. BMK (talk) 03:14, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- Right, thanks. I have absolutely NO intentions of taking legal action regarding my prior comment, and am only trying to look out for Misplaced Pages's benefit. Thanks, Daniellagreen 03:19, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
more retaliatory battleground behaviour from User:Beyond My Ken
ciao!!! Carriearchdale (talk) 02:31, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- Ummm... it's "battleground behavior" when I move a comment I posted from the wrong place and put it in the right place? BMK (talk) 02:34, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- It's battleground behavior when you say/do something to instigate a conflict. What she said wasn't right, but that doesn't give you the right to do something you know is just as wrong. ミーラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 02:42, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- Oh Geez Louise, get fucking real, dude, your account is named after two deadly Nazi weapons, and you're lecturing me about this crap? Get over yourself - and I suggest you withdraw your offer to mentor Carriearchdale, you're clearly not qualified to do so, she'd eat you alive. BMK (talk) 02:50, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- Really? For one, "Sturmgewehr" is a generic word, and any weapon is "deadly". And yes I am lecturing you, because you're violating these policies. And I find that unlikely. ミーラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 03:05, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Beyond My Ken can be brash at times but as a whole he is generally spot on when it comes to policy. I do not see a problem with what he said, it is a little more forward than what I would have said, but as a whole he is correct when describing recent behavior, especially considering the discussion at ANI. ♥ Solarra ♥ ߷ ♀ 投稿 ♀ 04:37, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- @Solarra: All I have to say is that if I'd only chastised Carriearchdale, I wouldn't have received this "brash" comment. I have no wish to escalate things with him. ミーラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 05:44, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

@Sturmgewehr88: This edit to me is extremely borderline, and if you do have an issue, I suggest taking it up with Beyond My Ken directly, but I do see where you have an issue. If both of you are amiable to it, I'd be happy to mediate. ♥ Solarra ♥ ߷ ♀ 投稿 ♀ 05:50, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- @Solarra: Other than it being dickish, I don't have an issue with it, and will walk away and let User:Carriearchdale revert him. It was this edit that offends me, but again I'd prefer to walk away. Thanks for the offer though. ミーラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 06:05, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- @S88: You need to get your facts straight -- I did not make that original edit, someone else did, I merely reverted you - but the other editor's change was accurate, and you need to give Carriearchdale the chance to make her own decisions, neither you nor I can make them for her. BMK (talk) 06:14, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- Incidentally, I'm backing away - you might want to consider doing so as well. BMK (talk) 06:18, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- I never said you made the original edit, I said you reverted me, after I restored the page to its original version, and left a dickish edit summary, which I could care less about. And what do you mean "you might want to consider doing so as well"? Was "I don't have an issue with it, and will walk away and let User:Carriearchdale revert him" not straightforward enough of my intentions? ミーラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 06:48, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

Question
Carriearchdale, I've been wondering. Why do you tell people to "govern accordingly"? According to what? Yngvadottir (talk) 20:15, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- @Yngvadottir: It is to this link , but I'm not sure what the point of it is. Piguy101 (talk) 22:20, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing based on community discussion here. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice:{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. the panda ₯’ 22:53, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
It is worth noting that you received an offer to be mentored by one of the commenters at the ANI discussion. If I were in your current position, I might very seriously consider indicating whether you would be willing to accept such an offer. John Carter (talk) 23:23, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

my newest most favourite quote on wikipedia ever
"I will say it again. I liked Carrie. I really don't want to spend the time to look into the story that has everyone so worked up, but if I did, I might still think she had points. I am a rational person, so if she was getting in the way of the project I would not see that as a good thing, but I am not sure I am so thrilled with the implied threat that if I spoke up for her, that would mean that I was a bad guy too. But in a way, I am not much value to Misplaced Pages, because I couldn't contribute much without attracting buzz saws, so the implied threat has little to do with me be honest in my opinions, and has more to do with the aggressive community being at homeostasis.Bob the goodwin (talk) 08:51, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
I perused a lot of the stuff on Carrie. She definitely got on the wrong side of the crowd, but my sense is that the project didn't care if she was right, and mostly didn't want a trouble maker. It feels like the project is just fine with hidden paid editors, and there are probably a ton of them out there, but the project has very little supervision, and does not want anyone taking up oxygen by complaining. That is probably why I failed as well, as I was horrified at the aggressive games that undermined scholarship. I tried to make a case against her as I read the stuff, but it mostly came down to the idea that people wanted her gone, people pulled the plug because there was too much ink. I would mentor Carrie to be different in life, but I think you've all done her a favor by giving her a life again. Misplaced Pages publishes what the most aggressive person wants. There's a lot of money to be made if you can control the truth. The mob spilled over in their anger, and went after me? Why does so much anger float in this place? I hope I am wrong. I am done being mad, and want friends and not enemies. Go make good edits, and help the project. I can't. Bob the goodwin (talk) 10:26, 13 July 2014 (UTC)"
