Editing textual quotations
Hi. You edited a quotation in Goju ryu article. I reverted the change because quotations are never edited. Please, refer to the Misplaced Pages Style Guide. Kenpo Schools
Hi! I returned some of kenpo articles to the list of schools. I was wondering why you had removed them. jmcw (talk) 15:37, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- And I thought a bit more and thought "Why not remove all of them?" Talk:Kenpō#Proposal_to_Remove_the_List_of_Schools jmcw (talk) 15:55, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Shorin-ryu articles
I noticed that you have been adding {{Karate schools}} to all of the articles of Shorin-ryu branches. I do not think this template belongs on these pages. The {{Karate schools}} template is growing too large, and should not contain branches of styles. For this reason, I created {{Shōrin-ryū styles}}. The current (rough) organization of martial arts templates is the all-encompassing {{Martial arts}}, with {{Karate schools}} as a subset of that, and {{Shōrin-ryū styles}} as a subset of that. Even though the Shorin-ryu branches are martial arts, the martial arts template would not be used on these articles. Similarly, the karate schools template should not be used on these articles. The general philosophy on navigation templates is that a template should only be used on an article that is linked in the template. Since the Shorin-ryu branches are on their own template, they should not also be on the karate schools template.
Also, are you aware that some of your edits removed the Japanese kanji for the names of the style? I think it would be nice to keep this information in the article. --Scott Alter 23:16, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for fixing these. --Scott Alter 03:47, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
gosoku ryu
thanks for expanding the article on gosoku. However, please familiarize yourself with the policy about reliable sources: you cannot use the organization's website as a third-party verifiable and reliable source about itself. Pundit|utter 18:32, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
Sukaa
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Sukaa, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.halfvalue.com/wiki.jsp?topic=suka. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 11:40, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
Notability of My Favorite Bullet
A tag has been placed on My Favorite Bullet requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Misplaced Pages guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Corvus cornixtalk 22:36, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of My Favorite Bullet
A tag has been placed on My Favorite Bullet requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Woland (talk) 21:53, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of My Favorite Bullet
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article My Favorite Bullet, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Misplaced Pages is not" and Misplaced Pages's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. December 2008
Please remember to mark your edits as minor if (and only if) they genuinely are minor edits (see Help:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearranging of text without modifying content should be flagged as a 'minor edit.' Thank you. Gimme danger (talk) 05:42, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
My edit on Northern Shaolin (martial art)
I just wanted to let you know that I changed what you had just added to the Northern Shaolin article. My source is the book The Shaolin Monastery (2008) by Prof. Meir Shahar. It is the definitive book on the subject. --Ghostexorcist (talk) 20:04, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
Articles for deletion nomination of Linda King
I have nominated Linda King, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Linda King. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Burpelson AFB (talk) 03:13, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Linda King
Hello Rossen4, this is a message from an automated bot to inform you that the page you created, Linda King, has been marked for speedy deletion by User:C.Fred. This has been done because the page seems to be about a person, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant (see CSD). If you think the tag was placed in error, please add "{{hangon}}
" to the page text, and edit the talk page to explain why the page should not be deleted. If you have a question about this bot, please ask it at User talk:SDPatrolBot II. If you have a question for the user who tagged the article, see User talk:C.Fred. Thanks, - SDPatrolBot II (talk) on behalf of C.Fred (talk · contribs) 17:23, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Philip Corbin
An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Philip Corbin. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Misplaced Pages:Notability and "What Misplaced Pages is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Philip Corbin. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:09, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
Friendly request
Hi there. When editing an article on Misplaced Pages there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Chromium (web browser) do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Misplaced Pages is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Misplaced Pages uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. - Ahunt (talk) 20:12, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

Hi. When you recently edited Chiu Chi-ling, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Shaolin (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your recent editing history at Modern Buddhism shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Also, please use edit summaries.
