FC Barcelona (also known as Barça, SAMPA ) is a sports club in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain with sections in many different sports.
Basketball
The basketball section of Barcelona produced current NBA star Pau Gasol, and won the 2003 Euroleague.
Football
By far the most famous section of Barcelona is its football section, which competes in the first division of the Spanish Football League.
Founded in 1899 by Joan Gamper, Barça is based in Barcelona, Catalonia, and its home stadium is the Camp Nou, capacity 98,000 seats. Current coach is Frank Rijkaard.
