Well, guys I'm back. For those of you who've wondered what happened, I'll fill you in on the details. Through the advice of my attorneys, I have also decided to use fictitious names in my story due to legal ramifications which may jeopardize any impending legal actions by a known plaintiff I'll just call user "G". Recently, user "G" was temporarily banned from posting on an online site called "X" Encyclopedia.com as a result of editorial disagreements with a vandal we'll call "B". Apparently, "B" was making propandic edits to certain copyrighted material. The material in question were submitted to "X" Encyclopedia w/out any of the owners' knowledge. Vandal "B" also did not like it that user "G" was cleaning up the copyrighted material that "B" was vandalizing, some of which were the sole property of user "G". User "G" then said some things he shouldn't have said, vandal "B" complained, and user "G" was disciplined. If there's a lesson to be learned from all of this is that it never pays to take the law into your own hands. Therefore, user "G" has decided to take the offender to court. With the enlistment of the ACLU, user "G" this past week lodged a formal complaint against vandal "B" in person at "X" Encyclopedia's San Francisco Headquarters, where "G's" brother also happens to work. Armed with damaging evidence against them, they were more than willing to help. Along with help from "B's" internet provider, the individual (vandal "B") was identified and will be named as a defendant in a class-action lawsuit by "G" and various other authors whose works were modified by "B" without their consent. "G" learned through "X" Encyclopedia's management that there were numerous complaints against vandal "B" by others as well. It was "G's" grievances, however, that brought this to the attention of "X" Encyclopedia management in SF, who have now placed a lock hold on "B's" account. What this means is that if there are anymore complaints against "B", his account's privileges will most likley be relegated. Being a smarter person than he actually seems online, "B" is currently looking for a good defense attorney in order to help minimize the amount of restitution he will be ordered to pay. He is also smart not to edit or even put up anymore postings under his current user ID, because it's basically mounting evidence that will be used against him in a court of law. In what started out bad is now turning into a good week overall for user "G". | Well, guys I'm back. For those of you who've wondered what happened, I'll fill you in on the details.
