Pyotr Mikhaylovich Gavrilov

Pyotr Mikhaylovich Gavrilov (1900-1979) - was a Soviet officer known as the hero of the Defense of Brest Fortress (1941). He was an ethnic Keräşen TatarCite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page). Rehabilitated after Stalin's death; received the Order of Lenin and the prestigious title of Hero of the Soviet Union in 1957.
