The 2021 Tocantinenses Aviation Disaster took place on January 24, 2021, when a Beechcraft Baron, with six people on board, crashed on landing at the Tocantinense Aviation Association Airport, claiming the lives of four Palmas Futebol e Regatas association football team members, the club's owner and the plane's pilot.
The plane had taken-off from Brigadeiro Lysias Lysias Rodriguez Airport in Palma, Brazil, on it's way to a fourth-tier association football game between Palmas and Vila Nova, for the Brazilian "Green Cup" championship.
People on board
The victims of the crash were identified as Marcus Molinari, association football player, 23, and his teammates Guilherme Noe, Lucas Praxedes and Ranule; along with team president Lucas Meira and a pilot, identified by the press only as Commander Wagner.
