Regarding your comment on ask123's ask123 (talk) talk page

Perhaps if you correctly interpreted what I wrote on the Bobby Jindal talk page, you would have realized that I am saying that it is, in my opinion, OKAY for you to edit the article so long as you provide credible sources and abide by other Misplaced Pages policies. So far, you have, and, thus, I see NO problem with your edits. Perhaps if you were less aggressive, you would be more popular and, ultimately, successful in your ventures. ask123 (talk) 01:07, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Yes, you did say that IF I post in a manner consistant with Misplaced Pages policy that I should be able to continue to edit the article. Of course, everyone has to follow the rules and guidelines of editing pages on wikipedia so restating that seems to be a little redundant. However, the tone of your post, including "One thing to point out is that his interests are clearly not with providing any useful information on Bobby Jindal." and "But, be advised, Mr. Zimmerman, you may not turn this article into a negative campaign ad or use any part of this article to that end.", is what prompted me to leave a message on your talk page. RPP Bobby Jindal

Oh sorry, I missed that thread. Hope I didn't seem too rude for not replying! It's twice I've done that this week. Pages are only protected in rare cases, and when the page is receiving uncontrollably heavy amounts of vandalism. The page isn't receiving heavy bouts of vandalism, and the vandalism is being reverted quickly, so protection isn't an option at the moment. Alright, you've won me over. :) I've changed my mind and protected it for a week. That'll give the article some breathing space. It got me thinking that many admins would protect a page with less disruption and maybe I'm too lenient at times (it's not been the first time). Sorry for the hassle! ID

If you are going to mention ID, you need to mention what it is, ie what the scientific community defines it as well as the way courts see it regarding public schools. Wrong. I don't have to define what ID is. All you have to do is provide a wikilink to ID where ID is already defined. I have reverted every single change so far made by every other user for the reasons listed on the Bobby Jindal page. And while we are supposed to "be bold" on Misplaced Pages, we are also supposed to form a consensus.

Furthermore, your edits on the wikipedia page for Jindal serve less to inform people about what ID is and more to bash Jindal for his support of it. And while I agree with you that ID is not science and belongs nowhere near the science classroom I will repeat that wikipedia is not a soapbox. DanielZimmerman (talk) 05:11, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of File:Nonot.JPG

A tag has been placed on File:Nonot.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section I1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Misplaced Pages (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on ] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. Hi, DanielZimmerman, welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron WikiProject! We are a growing community of Misplaced Pages editors dedicated to identifying and rescuing articles and content that have been nominated for deletion. Every day hundreds of articles are deleted, many rightfully so. But many concern notable subjects and are poorly written, ergo fixable, and should not be deleted. We try to help these articles and content to quickly improve and address the concerns of why they are proposed for deletion. This covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated! Some points that may be helpful: WikiProject Article rescue squadron's (ARS) main aim is to help improve Misplaced Pages articles and content. If someone seeks help, please try to assist if you are able. Likewise feel free to ask for help, advice and clarification. Sometimes we are asked to help rescue articles by people new to our notability and sourcing policies. If the article is not fixable we can help explain why and offer alternatives. Sometimes editors who are new to Misplaced Pages may perceive the deletion of "their" article as discouraging. Encourage civility and maybe even {{welcome}} them if they have only been templated with deletion messages. The Articles for deletion (AfD) discussion is where the concerns regarding each article are brought up and addressed. To be an effective member of the project you need to know how AfD works as well as how to improve articles. Introduction to deletion process gives a good overview and some good advice for newcomers to deletion. Our primary work is improving Misplaced Pages articles and content. A more dynamic list with article links and descriptions are located at our rescue list. If you have another language besides English, please consider adding yourself to the list of translators available. Misplaced Pages Campus Ambassadors wanted at LSU

Hi! I'm leaving you this message because you are listed as a Wikipedian in Louisiana. The Misplaced Pages Ambassador Program is currently looking for Campus Ambassadors to help with Misplaced Pages assignments at Louisiana State University, which will be participating in the Public Policy Initiative for the Spring 2011 semester. The role of Campus Ambassadors will be to provide face-to-face training and support for students on Misplaced Pages-related skills (how to edit articles, how to add references, etc.). This includes doing in-class presentations, running workshops and labs, possibly holding office hours, and in general providing in-person mentorship for students.

Prior Misplaced Pages skills are not required for the role, as training will be provided for all Campus Ambassadors (although, of course, being an experienced editor is a plus).

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Nomination of Jeff Crouere for deletion

ThoughtAudio Review Request

I am seeking independent and neutral viewpoints on the article ThoughtAudio, which is being considered for deletion. If you have a few minutes to review it, I would appreciate your article contributions and opinion on the decision as to whether it merits being retained and improved, or deleted. ThoughtAudio was targeted by the same editor that made a failed attempt to delete the wikiquote article Michael Scott Gallegos. There are only 3 reviews/votes so far. I am hoping that a minority viewpoint as to the worthiness of the article will not prevail. My work is mainly in the creation of new wikiquote articles @ELApro and time is rarely spent in unproductive controversy. I am a long time editor for Misplaced Pages, but have not created many articles here. I would much appreciate your advice and/or contributions with regard to the process.
