Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Misplaced Pages pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 06:28, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Norman Ebbutt. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Ronk01 talk, 06:43, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Editing by unregistered users from your shared IP address or address range may be currently disabled due to abuse. However, you are still able to edit if you sign in with an account. If you are currently blocked from creating an account, and cannot create one elsewhere in the foreseeable future, you may follow the instructions at Misplaced Pages:Request an account to request that volunteers create your username for you. Please use an email address issued to you by your ISP, school or organization so that we may verify that you are a legitimate user on this network. Please reference this block in the comment section of the form.
Please check on this list that the username you choose has not already been taken. We apologize for any inconvenience.
{{unblock|I can understand that a proxy serving many users may be a good reason for a block, but please, for crying out loud, give a reason for the block. Currently this IP is blocked with "no reason given" which is the most frustrating part of this issue. Don't silently punish the rest of us here for someone else's behaviour - at least recognise that there could be many legitimate and well meaning users here that will be affected by the block, and do us the very basic courtesy of providing a reason for it. Thanks.}}
- You're correct that it would have been better if a specific reason had been spelled out, but don't you think it's rather obvious? Are we both looking at the same page? Look above this request at the numerous vandalism warnings and you have your answer. 192.43.227.18 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
That's not a particularly helpful answer. This page is not the one that is displayed when someone tries to edit an article, and so does nothing to immediately alleviate the angst caused by the block. This page is only seen when attempting to have the block removed. The point is still that while a block is frustrating, a block without a reason is far, far worse, and could easily be avoided with a few words of explanation. P.S. if I shouldn't be using an unblock request to continue this, I apologise. I can't use a talk page because I'm blocked(!) and I have no idea whether the member I'm replying to will be notified of a plain text reply or not? P.P.S. I'd like to quote Misplaced Pages blocking policy, as per the Blocking Policy page: == Explanation of blocks == Blocking is a serious matter. The community expects that blocks will be made with good reasons only, based upon reviewable evidence and reasonable judgment, and that all factors that support a block are subject to independent peer review if requested. === Notifying the blocked user === Administrators must supply a clear and specific block reason which indicates why a user was blocked. Block reasons should avoid the use of jargon as much as possible so that blocked users may better understand them. Administrators should also notify users when blocking them by leaving a message on their user talk page unless they have a good reason not to. It is often easier to explain the reason for a block at the time than it is to explain a block well after the fact. When implementing a block, a number of pro forma block reasons are available in a drop-down menu; other or additional reasons can also be added. Users can be notified of blocks and block reasons using a number of convenient template messages—see Category:User block templates and Misplaced Pages:Template messages/User talk namespace.
Decline reason:
This IP address has been a near constant source of vandalism, personal attacks against users, and other disruption. It appears to be a shared IP address, such that occasionally, every few weeks or months, someone actually makes a good edit from it. However, on the balance, it appears that blocking this address was clearly necessary to stop the almost constant stream of disruption and vandalism coming from it. However, the block has been set to ONLY affect users who are not logged in. You are free to create an account, and then this block will no longer affect you. The history of problems can be seen from this IP's block log which shows over 20 blocks of varying lengths over the past 5 years. Indeed, considering the times when it hasn't been blocked, this IP address rarely goes more than a few days without vandalizing Misplaced Pages. Understand, this has nothing to do with you as a person. If you wish to edit Misplaced Pages articles, you may create an account. Jayron32 06:21, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- Note: you can edit your own talk page while blocked (usually), and anyone watching your page will be able to see you've edited it. Please only use unblock requests to request unblocking. By the way, you are aware that you can solve this issue by registering a username? Exploding Boy (talk) 06:19, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Australian Magpie. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware, Misplaced Pages's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Bidgee (talk) 04:30, 21 October 2011 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page SaitÅ Hajime (Rurouni Kenshin) has been reverted.
Your edit here to SaitÅ Hajime (Rurouni Kenshin) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://kenshin.wikia.com/SaitÅ_Hajime/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Misplaced Pages. If the external link you inserted or changed was to an external Wiki, then please note that these links should generally not be included (see 'links to avoid' #12).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Misplaced Pages's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Paris. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Misplaced Pages's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Misplaced Pages is not acceptable in any amount and can lead to a block, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Misplaced Pages, as you did at Prison. --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 20:54, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Prison shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 20:54, 12 January 2015 (UTC)

warning
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Hospital-acquired infection;.
You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. Alien vs. Predator (film)
What you are putting into the Alien vs. Predator (film) article is not "plot", it is a comparison with another film. That is original research and not permitted. Unless you have a source that does this it cannot stay. --Escape Orbit 18:34, 17 January 2015 (UTC)

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Saudia Arabia. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Escape Orbit 18:41, 17 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi. You seem to have a misunderstanding about a few things. Please read the below and I can help.
- Linking to a copyright violation copy of a film is not acceptable on Misplaced Pages.
- You looking at a film, saying "That's the Eastern Columbia Building building" and then using that film to cite content on Misplaced Pages isn't good enough. The reader is still reliant on your original assessment of the events in the film. You need a reliable source that actually discusses the film, and the building in it.
- The same goes for comparing events in one film with another. This is original research and not permitted.
- If you are going to state specifics about human rights in Saudi Arabia, you need sources that back up exactly what you are saying.
- If what you are adding is challenged and removed, it is your responsibility to demonstrate that it can be verified.
- Repeatedly putting it back in, while insulting other editors, is not acceptable behaviour and will get you blocked.
- You really need to go and read WP:SYNTH and understand it. You cannot combine facts from different sources in order to create a new fact/analysis/argument not in either source. A fair guideline is that if a source doesn't even mention the article subject, then you are unlikely to be able to use it as a cite in that article.
I appreciate your edits are good faith, but you need to understand Misplaced Pages policy and guidelines before continuing. Thanks. --Escape Orbit 19:17, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
- What is a copyright violation copy of a film? Since when did Misplaced Pages become a law enforcement body? Secondly, what if I put up stuff that is verified, but some other editor still removes it? Every editor has his own way of doing things, some might agree with what I have written, some do not. What can I do? And no, I am not insutling editors. I just call a spade a spade :)
- Have a look here. Misplaced Pages takes copyright seriously. A complete copy of a film on youtube from some random guy's account is very unlikely to be a licensed copy. --Escape Orbit 19:32, 17 January 2015 (UTC)

- What if it is a small section of the movie? Or an individual takes screen shots of the movie and puts it up on the internet? Alternatively, can a film poster be used to demonstrate this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.43.227.18 (talk • contribs)
Regarding this, this and this, nah, I think that I will simply report you to the WP:Edit warring noticeboard if no one beats me to reporting you there. And given that you have passed the WP:3RR limit, you will be WP:Blocked. None of the sources you've added are WP:Reliable sources. Why discuss a thing with you when it's clear that you don't listen and don't take the time to read and comprehend the guidelines and/or policies that you are pointed to? Flyer22 (talk) 20:08, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
- Well, then why don't you help provide a list of 'reliable websites'? Or, I should say, why wait? Go ahead and block me because of the 3RR limit, instead of typing something up here.
- Please see above where I explained "it is your responsibility to demonstrate that it can be verified". You don't get to add things to Misplaced Pages, then demand that others go source it. I'm also going to direct you to this page again in regards to copyright. I appreciate that copyright can be a large and tricky thing to get to grips with, but a good start would be to make the effort to read the guidance, and listen to what other editors are explaining to you. Unfortunately, you do not appear to be willing to do that. --Escape Orbit 19:53, 18 January 2015 (UTC)

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for persistent edit warring. You know about edit warring, you were blocked for it just a week ago. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice:{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Bishonen | talk 20:20, 17 January 2015 (UTC)

Restoring inflammatory falsehoods about Saudi Arabia is not helpful editing
You just reverted the edit discussed in Talk:Human_rights_in_Saudi_Arabia#Bible-importation_death_penalty_rumor_appears_to_be_false, without justifying your reversion there. Also, your reversion summary was nothing more than an insult directed at me. I've reverted your reversion. If you think there is some evidence that this rumor is true, please explain it there. Kragen Javier Sitaker (talk) 14:16, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
- Nope, it wasn't. It was a suggestion. If you choose to take things as an insult, unfortunately that is your call. (Note: this unsigned comment is by 192.43.227.18.)
- P.S. 64573532 is the edit in question, in case anyone else is interested. Kragen Javier Sitaker (talk) 14:24, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
- You've just attempted to re-add the same inflammatory falsehood, including as a "source" a sensationalist ultra-right-wing web site. I've reverted it again. If you really think there is some kind of truth to this rumor, please discuss why on the talk page instead of trying to edit-war it into place. Australia did not have the death penalty in 1986.
Hello, I'm Kragen. Your recent edit to the page Barlow and Chambers execution appears to have added incorrect information, so I have removed it for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. This is another example of introducing inflammatory falsehoods about human-rights issues into Misplaced Pages. Please be careful to avoid this in the future. Kragen Javier Sitaker (talk) 17:52, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for your comments, however I need to tell that you while Australia did not execute anyone from 1967 onwards, the death penalty was still legal in Australia law until 1980s, which is when many Westerners were caught. Please refer to the Misplaced Pages articles about death penalty in Australia.
- Hi. While it is true that the death penalty was legal in Australia until the 1980s, it wasn’t in fact legal in 1986, which is the point in time that we were discussing. Please discuss this in Talk:Barlow_and_Chambers_execution#Removing_false_death_penalty_assertions rather than just reverting my reversions, which amounts to WP:Edit warring and will get you blocked (note that I warned you about this above, with regard to a different article). Kragen Javier Sitaker (talk) 19:25, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
However, I should add that your work in adding correct information about the nationality of Barlow to that page and to List of Australians imprisoned or executed abroad is much appreciated! Thank you! Kragen Javier Sitaker (talk) 18:04, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
Also, thank you for your work in adding to Johannes van Damme, Yong Vui Kong, and John Martin Scripps! I've also reverted one of your edits to the Scripps page because it was facially incorrect. Kragen Javier Sitaker (talk) 18:22, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
Undoing inflammatory non-factual rhetoric (aka POV).
Hello, I'm Kragen. Misplaced Pages is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to 2013 Little India riot seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. The text I removed had no factual content and was purely a polemic against Singapore. I reverted your recent edit to MacDonald House bombing for the same reason. Please only contribute factual, verifiable content to Misplaced Pages. I appreciate the many times you have contributed accurate information, and I worry that my reverting your incessant introduction of falsehoods and polemical rhetoric could discourage you from making the more useful edits. Kragen Javier Sitaker (talk) 18:32, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
For example, I appreciate your recent addition of useful context to Van Tuong Nguyen, which I've cleaned up slightly to improve its accuracy and broken link. Kragen Javier Sitaker (talk) 18:36, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
Also, thank you for your helpful contributions to Spring and other articles. Kragen Javier Sitaker (talk) 19:04, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
