Frank "Frankie" James Michael Grande Marchione (born January 24, 1983) is an American Broadway actor, singer, dancer, producer, director, from New York, New York. He is the older half brother of pop and R&B sensation Ariana Grande. He grew up in Boca Raton, Florida, where he attended Pine Crest School. He graduated from Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania in 2005, having triple-majored in biology, theatre and dance. He has performed in the Broadway production of Mamma Mia! and in other theatre productions, produced Broadway shows and appeared in cabaret acts. In 2014, he is currently a contestant on season 16 of the reality television series Big Brother.

Life and career

Grande began his Broadway career in 2007, appearing as Boots the monkey in a national tour of Dora the Explorer Live! (Dora's Pirate Adventure) and in regional productions including George M! and A Chorus Line. By 2007 he had joined the Broadway cast of the musical Mamma Mia! in the ensemble and as understudy for Eddie, in which he performed for three years. Grande was named "Mr. Broadway" in the "Mr. Broadway 2007" charity benefit. He also co-founded the non-profit arts organization "Broadway in South Africa", travelling to South Africa to work with disadvantaged youth.

Grande has produced shows on and off Broadway, including the Broadway productions of Hamlet (2009) starring Jude Law, La Bête (2010–11), starring David Hyde Pierce, and Born Yesterday (2011), starring Jim Belushi. Grande has performed in cabaret acts in New York City, including at Birdland Jazz Club and 54 Below. In 2013, he starred as Bobby in a regional theatre production of the musical Crazy for You. In February 2014, he starred Off-Broadway in a revival of the musical Pageant. In 2013, Grande presented his own show in New York, Living La Vida Grande at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. He has also toured with Justin Bieber and his sister, Ariana Grande, as a dancer.

Appearance on Big Brother

Frankie became the first Head of Household after winning the Head of Household competition, "Go Fly a Kite". However, his status as HoH was dethroned after his nominees (Brittany and Victoria) won the "Battle of the Block" competition. He became co-Head of Household again in Week Four with partner Cody in the "Devilled Eggs" competition, but he was dethroned for the second time when nominees Amber and Jocasta won the Battle of the Block. He formed an alliance with his fellow HoH Caleb called the "Bomb Squad", as well as a final two deal with Zach. Frankie is also one of three members whom fans voted to participate in this season's twist, Team America. Frankie got the news of his grandfather's death on the show, but decided against leaving Big Brother. Shortly thereafter, he won this third Head of Household competition, entitled "Country Hits", because Derrick threw the competition. Frankie is the first houseguest in Big Brother History to win HoH two weeks in a row. On Day 36, Frankie became the sole HoH (after being dethroned twice before) when his nominees (Jocasta and Victoria) lost the Battle Of The Block competition.
